On February 17, 2025, Queen Mathilde visited Matteo Ricci College, a secondary school in Anderlecht. At the college, the Queen took part in a meeting between fifth-year secondary students and Geneviève Damas, author of the novels Jacky and Bluebird. This meeting was organized as part of the 'Auteurs en classe' program, which enables teachers to invite authors into their classrooms for a literary discussion based on their books.

Love Queen Mathilde in her grey cape and wine red outfit. I like her Dior bag too. Lucky she didn't had to stay too long outside (- 4° C this morning). The subject of this visit being about books, literature, authors, ... is a favourite of Queen Mathilde.

A well-known but lovely and appropriate outfit for Queen Mathilde. Personally, I would wear other undergarments underneath the top next time.

You have written this so elegantly Dragonfly! I find the fabric interesting - waxed linen - but seeing how she’s having to hold her bag to cover the split, I think a longer hemline would making sitting with a group easier!

I do not see a problem with her undergarments. It is the first time somebody writes about that subject concerning Queen Mathilde.
The skirt was new in 2020. A hemline in this type of fabric is not easy to make longer or shorter. It is usually attached with a special glue. I had a coat like that in the 70ees. I must say my coat looked less wrinkled. I think the fabric was thicker too. I do not see a problem with the length either. Queen Mathilde has lovely legs and looks just fine. The hemline is under her knees.

She looks paler indeed. It could be because of the light. We had much sunshine yesterday, the sky was very blue, but it has been freezing until noon. In the afternoon the t° was 3 or 4 degrees. Maybe she used paler make-up too or she is still a bit tired from her visit to Costa Rica.

    4. Me neither see any problem with her undergarments.
If Damsel Dragonfly is pointing to the picture next to the model, it is from an other occasion. Her shoes in that picture are black and she has different stockings. The lights can make a big difference.

I like her outfit very much and that skirt suits her. She looks wonderful.

Like I said: underneath the top. You can see the contour of what she's wearing underneath really good, because of the very thin fabric (at this event and at the previous event). It is indeed the first time I notice this. But nevertheless, it is a great outfit that fits her well and I don't see any problems with the hemline.

My favorite Queen, but something is off with her makeup; did she forgot to add to her eyebrows compared to the picture where she’s wearing a mask. She looks pale.

She has been away abroad and she does so well to come back and go to an event. Good for her!

Like the grey and burgundy colour combo but I do not like the skirt, nor the split in the skirt. As Anon 18 31 says, it looks like she’s had to use the bag to cover the split when she’s sitting

Q.Matjilde looks fabulous in this combo colours Pompeian red/ dark aubergine .
    Gorgeous shoes as well.
Perfect look for a blonde lady.
Nothing wrong with the slit , I just think that she kept THE bag on her legs on purpose, that's such an iconic high- end piece not to be placed in the second row, quite the opposite.
It would be a shame to put this bag on the floor or anywhere , it deserves the best showcasing and its color is divine.
    Great visit.
