A New Photo of Princess Marie Released on Her 49th Birthday

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, Princess Marie of Denmark turned 49 years old. To mark the occasion, the Danish Royal Court released a new photo of the Princess, taken by photographer Lars H. Laursen. Princess Marie was born on February 6, 1976, in Paris, and her maiden name was Marie Agathe Odile Cavallier. She is married to Prince Joachim of Denmark, and the couple has two children: Count Henrik and Countess Athena.

    Diese so natürliche und wunderwunderschöne Prinzessin von Dänemark, alle guten Wünsche zu ihrem Geburtstag. Das Lächeln, die Haare, da muss man schon sagen, das Kleid und ihre natürliche Art so viel Harmonie auf einem Bild. Ich liebe es, das der Familienhund fast immer dabei ist, sie verkörpert sich immer wieder neu und die Eleganz auch sportlich immer mit einem Hauch von Paris : ) -Dorothe-

    Lovey Marie. A lovely low key couple (at least in the media from what we see) who appear to have found their way, finding space from their royal duties and having a big career for him, letting their kids grow up without too much media spotlight, without causing fuss. Full credit.

    Lovely lady she is. May not be called a royal anymore, but that isn’t taking anything away from her. Not ashamed to wear Ted Baker or Zara or…. She wears everything well and with dignity. Happy birthday!

    Love the Ted Baker of London dress on Princess Marie. She looks adorable with her furry friend. These wedge shoes are beautiful and such a nice complimentary match with the dress. Happy Birthday lovely princess!!

    Lovely photo of pretty Princess Marie and her sweet little dog! I love this dress on her and her shoes are a perfect choice (Sophie--these are the shoes you need to replace those awful espadrilles!!!). I hope she has a marvelous birthday!

    Yes Princess Mari is a beautiful woman...

    - But that is ALL people write about here, and on other forums....
    And that is why she is the least favorite Royal among the Danish people!! The Princess does the absolute minimum amount of work for Denmark... And we were not informed about her work, when the couple lived in Paris, the same pattern we see from Washington...

    She obviously loves to be a stay at home mom, fine - but she is a Princess, and expected to work for her country!!
