On January 24, 2025, Queen Sofía of Spain attended the gala celebrating the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Palais Garnier, the historic home of the Paris Opera. At the end of the opera, Queen Sofía met with José Carlos Martínez, the Spanish director of the Paris Opera Ballet, along with other performers and artists. The Palais Garnier was constructed for the Paris Opera between 1861 and 1875, commissioned by Emperor Napoleon III.
Beautiful gown. Christine
ReplyDeleteWow so different, so nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful outfit for winter time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress Queen Sofia is wearing here. She has always such a good taste when choosing her (evening) dresses. The only thing which is not necessary is the brooch in the middle of the neckline. The necklace and the shimmering details on the dress are sufficient.
ReplyDeleteI agree, remove the brooch and the outfit is perfection. (V.M.)
DeleteI also feel the brooch is not necessary and is not elegant enough for her gown. She does look lovely at a spry age of 86 years old!
DeletePerhaps the brooch has a a significant meaning relating to the occasion
DeleteImpressive dress!
ReplyDeletewow, siempre la reina de españa. she has a good stylist who keeps her style both current and timeless
ReplyDeleteLa Reina de España es Letizia. Sofía es la reina emérita por concesión de su hijo, el Rey.
DeleteWhat a great dress on Queen Sofia. Very tasteful, befitting the occasion.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress on q S!
ReplyDeleteBeaucoup d'élégance dans cette robe-manteau ; je me serais juste abstenu de porter la broche sur son corsage !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and elegant gown and lady. Queen Sofía looks fabulous here!
