On January 15, 2025, Queen Máxima paid a visit to Royal Cosun in Dinteloord, the winner of the King Willem I Prize in the Large Business Category. Royal Cosun, founded in 1899, is an internationally operating agricultural cooperative. During her visit to the innovation center and the sugar beet storage facility, the Queen met with growers, employees, and others.
Established in 1958 at the initiative of De Nederlandsche Bank and in collaboration with several organizations connected to the business sector, the King Willem I Foundation aims to provide new momentum to the national economy. Dutch Queen Máxima serves as the honorary chair of the King Willem I Foundation.
Much more professional in hair style, except for the bit sticking out on (her left side of head, behind the ear).
ReplyDeleteYou are still finding something to complain about? I think she looks fantastic. Funny that you make no mention of her clothes. The obsession with her hair has gotten ridiculous. She is so much more than her hair.
DeleteI agree with anon00:46 ! If there were a comment to make, it could just be some overdressing, since a farm environment is quite near.
DeleteMy goodness, how overly critical of you!
DeleteMaxima is human. Also Maxima doesn't seem to stress about her hair. She clearly doesn't have voluminous hair like some but she makes up for that with her amazing wardrobe and jewelry
DeleteCinci
You surely have thick and healthy blonde hair like a model.not to mention your fashion sense, allure and positivity.
DeleteYou always smile and are engaging just like Maxima😂
Je reconnais que Maxima a de l'allure avec ce style de grand chapeau, ce qui n'est pas donné à beaucoup de dames ; j'adore ses bijoux dont les boucles d'oreilles et la broche très bien choisies !
ReplyDeleteFar too elegant, especially the wide-brimmed hat for this visit to an agricultural company.
ReplyDeleteAgree !! Over the top
DeleteAgree!
DeleteSono d’accordo con te.
DeleteRossella 🖤
Ah can a queen be accused of being far too elegant?! When the queen is present, she sets the tone, and we fit in with her royal choices and not the other way around, no?! She’s the queen! In this case the others accompanying her on the tour seem elegantly suited; and having worked in global industrial headquarters I can say its normal that there’ll be elegantly dressed executive workers sharing the corridors with factory workers in overalls, everyone getting on with their work appropriately dressed for their roles.
DeleteI agree with Anon 06:51. The party accompanying her is dressed well. Don't forget the decades that QEII made visits exactly like this and would be dressed similarly. We never saw similar comments about how she looked. Maxima is visiting this business because they received an award from the King Willem I Foundation. She looks like I would expect a queen to look when visiting a company that was recently recognized by a foundation that she is the honorary chairperson of.
DeleteAgree with Anon06 51 and 15 14. Queen Maxima is in "can't win' territory. She's criticised for bad hair or sloppy outfits and yet when she turns up looking amazing as she does here, there's criticism of that too. Those waiting to see her want to see someone who has made an effort to look their best,. Also she is making a presentation so her role is a formal one. The hat is superb!. There's another lady wearing a hat behind her in the first pic. Presumably someone else there in a formal capacity as opposed to a working one.
DeleteBeing too elegant versus overdressed : that is not the same. Elegant refers globally to the person, overdressed refers to the choice for this special occasion.
DeleteTo Anon 06:51 A queen is not Almighty God - maybe to you but not to everyone. Her sartorial choices can be criticised. I like Maxima and think that she does a great job but sometimes she is overdressed. In this case she is visiting an agricultural company, a rural business. How does this elegant hat fit in? It's clearly not adequate, given the event.
DeleteIt is not just an agricultural company. If you read the text it says an " internationally operating cooperative". Queen Maxima was there as the "Honorary chair of the King Willem I foundation". The "Nederlandsche Bank" in 1958 took the initiative to collaborate with the several organizations connected to the business sector and was supported by the foundation.
DeleteThe other representatives men and women were also dressed at their best. The mayor of the town was there too. Agriculture is still one of the most important business in the Netherlands. To me Queen Maxima was dressed appropiately.
Now this is a great look.

I like the colour chosen by Queen Maxima: burgundy. Always a good choice!
ReplyDeleteThe queen is luminous. And this hairstyle suits her.
-Astrid.
I agree, cool that she choose a ‘beet red’ dress. Lovely lady.
DeleteLovely brooch. I am just not a fan of monochromatic outfits.
ReplyDeleteYeah! So Maxima, love every very v of it
ReplyDeleteLuna
None of our royal ladies can carry off a bold color and large hat, quite like QM! This being a prime example!
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Agree. She looks great.
DeleteShe looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteMaxima’s earrings are gorgeous. Red is a good color for her, but this is almost too much red with the gloves, hat, everything red.
ReplyDelete-Royal Watcher
The lady in red. Maxima looks regal and royal - without overdoing it - for the kind of event she is attending. Love it.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
You’re joking, right ?
DeleteAgree, Anon 9 13. Queen Maxima at her best
DeleteNo I'm not joking. I meant what I said.
DeleteRead Anon 06:51 and Anon 19:41 responses a few posts above if you don't understand. This wasn't a drop-in visit to an ordinary company to say 'Hi' and 'Bye'.
- Anon 9:13
Love the outfit, though as suggested maybe too dressed up for the occasion, but hey, she's the queen. This is her signature look and she pulls it 1000% each time she dresses like that. My small remark would be that perhaps it's too early for a straw hat? Anyway, her radiance and high spirits as usually compensate for any fashion faux-pas she makes.
ReplyDeleteLes capelines en paille se portent au printemps et en été, les chapeaux plus chauds (fedora par exemple) sont pour l'automne et l'hiver.
DeleteC'est étonnant qu'elle ne soit pas au courant.
I’m not surprises she doesn’t know. She’s clueless!
DeleteIt's a velvet hat.
DeleteAnonyme 07 : 41
DeleteNon c'est une capeline en paille, bien visible sur les photos.
Seul le ruban est en velours. Zoomez.
Stoppen met die grote hoeden, zo gedateerd, ze gaat zo steeds meer op haar schoonmoeder lijken.
ReplyDeleteOnly when she starts wearing a hair helmet will she resemble her mother-in-law.
DeleteIdd net haar schoonmoeder, beetje ouwelijke tante.
DeleteToyally overdressed as usual.
ReplyDeleteShe is the Queen for god sake!!
DeleteSo, that makes overdressing alright ?
DeleteToujours aussi ravissante
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
”Lady in red”, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNot overdressed! Stunning and elegant!
ReplyDeleteCertainly elegant, but too elegant for a visit to an agro-company which produces sugar out of brownish-yellow turnips.
DeleteMaxims spends a lot for being dressed as BARBIE
ReplyDeleteRidiculous and false observation. You are entitled to your opinion, of course.
DeleteFabulous look for Queen Maxima! MR
