On January 16, 2025, Queen Letizia of Spain visited the 'Dexeus Women's Foundation' and presented the '19th Dexeus Women's Foundation Award' at the Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona. This year, the award recipient was Professor Arri Coomarasamy. Professor Arri Coomarasamy is the Director of the National Centre for Miscarriage Research at the University of Birmingham. At the event, which also marked the 30th anniversary of the foundation, Queen Letizia wore a red dress by Dries Van Noten.
Dries Van Noten Davion Dress
Very nice, colour, length, boots.
ReplyDeletePlease help me, I usually like Letizia wardrobe, red is her color and yet I don't like this look, whats missing? Or is it r belt?
ReplyDeleteLuna
Si, questa cintura alta non mi convince.
DeleteRossella 🖤
Not sure what you’re missing Luna! I think this is perfect simple elegance from head to toe.
DeleteMaybe: soft fabric for a slim skirt with this length?
DeleteJust my opinion...throwing a belt over a dress that wasn't designed to be belted can look unpolished. This dress gets bunchy with the belt added because it is designed to glide over the midsection. The excess fabric around the waist needs to be neatly manipulated to keep the dress from looking sloppy. I rarely think a random belt added to a dress improves it.
Delete@Anon 03:59 I think you nailed it, the dress was not designed for a belt and therefore the midsection does not look very well. Helena
Deleteyes the side view is not flattering, the belt is too big for her slim figure
DeleteCette robe de couleur rouge lui va bien mais peut-être qu'une ceinture moins large aurait mieux convenu !
ReplyDeleteJ aime ce look

I am surprised that this is also a Dries van Noten, the man of the beautifull tissue. This one seems real simple, but simple in a good way, and very good upgraded with the black accessories.
ReplyDeleteNice warm dress, perfect for this visit!
ReplyDeleteAgree, perfect.
DeleteAgree!
ReplyDeletePour moi tout est parfait : la robe et sa couleur, la ceinture, les bottes, le sac, la coiffure. Elle est impeccable, cette tenue lui va très bien ! Paloma.
ReplyDeleteAgain super look for the Queen.

I love seeing Queen Letizia in red--she always looks to great in red. She looks beautiful here, glowing in fact in this dress. I do see one problem--the belt. To be honest I am glad she added the belt because the dress without the belt would most likely not be flattering--too shapeless on Letizia because of her petite frame. But my problem with the belt is it's too big. Yes--it could have been perfect except its bunching the fabric because of the belt. Maybe if she were to have chosen a thin belt--again probably not. Perhaps the dress can be re-worked to accommodate a belt? It's a pretty dress, Letizia looks gorgeous, and I really want to like this dress.
