Queen Anne-Marie Enjoys a Ski Holiday in St. Moritz with Her Family

Queen Anne-Marie, Princess Marie-Chantal and Princess Nina Flohr of Greece

Shortly after the New Year and before returning to Greece, Queen Anne-Marie and her family spent a few days at the Corviglia ski resort in St. Moritz, along with Crown Prince Pavlos, Princess Marie-Chantal, Prince Philippos, and Princess Nina Flohr. In 2020, Prince Philippos married Nina Flohr in a civil wedding ceremony at this very resort in St. Moritz.

  1. I don't see any queen. Greece isn't a monarchy.

Well, former queen! Still a Princess (of Denmark) and widely accorded the honorary title Queen, although not recognised as such in Greece, which as you say has no monarchy. I find all that more interesting than these three ladies being interrupted on their private holiday for a press photo!

She was queen consort from 1964-73 before monarchy was abolished. It is part of Greek history. A lovely lady, nice to see her active with her family.

The House of Glücksburg still exist even though a referendum chose to not have a royal house in Greece. This occurred in 1974. Therefore they retain their titles, of queen, prince, princess , as in King Constantine.
