Princess Alexandra of Hanover shared new photos on her personal Instagram account. In the images, Princess Alexandra is seen wearing an outfit by Celine, with the photos captured by photographer Thomas Laisné. Princess Alexandra is the youngest of Princess Caroline's four children and the only child from her marriage to her third husband. She has been active on her personal Instagram account, @alex.hanover, since August 2019.
I like to see a hint of make-up on her. She is pretty, but could make better style choices. One I´d like to suggest is a different hairstyle, ideally something softer, layered and with bangs.
ReplyDeleteAs for what she´s wearing here, I cannot say I like it although black and white is a classic colour combo. The photos unfortunately give off an arrogant vibe, much like we are used to see from Monaco. The shoe on the window sill, the photos with her looking down at the viewer, the nonchalant expression and overall composition is anything but regal. These photos look like teenager selfies rather than royal portraits by a photographer.
Vanessa they are from her Instagram, not official portraits. It’s her giving the vibe she wants in this case!
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteAbsolutely !
Delete-Astrid.
Agreed with Vanessa.
DeleteAda
I agree with Vanessa. Helena
DeleteExcellently captured by you, Vanessa: looking down on the world. Not a pleasant sight.
DeleteThese aren't snapshots. These are professional photos. They have the vibe that Alexandra and the photographer wanted to express. I think this is one of her most grownup looks, from hair, to outfit, to shoes.
DeleteThe so-called ‘ looking down’ is just a pose. I love her outfit, it’s cute and stylish.
DeleteAlthough she looks very lovely and is dressed very extravagantly this image is not the Princess Alexandra we are accustomed to seeing. To me she looks very high maintenance and not her wholesome self. She seems to have come into her own saying look at me world!
ReplyDeleteMade my day!!!
DeleteShe looks adorable — she nearly always does, but I think this elegantly gamine outfit, perfectly complemented by the fabulous shoes, is superb on her. Over the years, Alexandra has demonstrated a remarkably consistent fashion sense and an impressive instinct for what suits her. In that respect, she is a standout amongst the younger Grimaldis. — Jane
ReplyDelete@ Jane
DeleteThis outfit suits her. But in general I am not impressed by the way she is dressed.
Beautiful, the best she ever looked, her hair looks better down and full of volume
ReplyDeleteHmmm… took a small look at her Instagram account, perhaps a typical young well-to-do girl’s account: pictures of herself, her dog, a lot of single use coffee cups, and she seems to spend a lot of time strolling city streets and reading. Commenters on her photos write typical young girl nothingnesses “beauty”, “the cutest”… and I wish her luck but wouldn’t think to visit the account again nor spend time on watching her post photos of herself.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you
DeleteTotally agree!!!!
DeleteThe combination of black (or deep green) and white is still a good idea. I like the fabric of what appears to be a suit: velvet.
ReplyDeleteBut to be honest, I don't really like her shoes, let alone the colour of his nail varnish.
Plus, I think the pieces look better separately, not together.
A touch of colour would have been welcome. Maybe on the lips or, why not, the nail varnish.
On the other hand, her hair is gorgeous.
-Astrid.
These photos are lovely, casual yet professional.
ReplyDeleteI like the photos too. Her hair is particularly beautiful worn this way. The clothing is lovely too and.doesnt compete with the overall look. I guess that's the advantage of sticking to black and white. (V.M )
DeleteCool
ReplyDeleteSimplement poseuse. Pas d une grande beauté.
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
C'est vrai!
DeleteIt is interesting - she is not a working royal, but Helen has an interest in her fashion, so as is her right on her blog, she posts about her. No hate filled comments, no ‘she is not a working royal’ - proving again that the vile comments are saved for Meghan. Think about that one all you posting hideous comments on the post about H&M helping and supporting during the terrible tragedy in Southern California. LRB
ReplyDeleteLRB - persons here are only provoked by MM`s behavior against the BRF and many other persons. She lives on royal money - but is telling private stories about them for the world. That is the whole problem.
DeleteReplying to anonymous 12.41 hiding behind anonymity… they are not living on royal money, have you read Charles book… about his parents, or Diana’s book? How do you judge them? Harry and Meghan decided together to leave… where are your comments blaming Harry? LRB - not anonymous.
Delete@ Anon. 12:41
DeleteEvery occasion is good to speak out your hate. We are here to write about Princess Alexandra. H & M and the Californian disaster was another topic.
@anon 17:37
DeleteIt is LRB who brought up Meghan, anon12:41 is only responding...
@LRB 10:12
I think the difference is that H&M decided to break loose from the BRF. Princess Alexandra has her role in the Grimaldi-family (whatever official duties she may or may not have, I'm not very up to date with them) and plays her part. No judgement on either of them though, they can choose their own lives as far as I'm concerned. But it's no surprise to anyone anymore that H&M cause a lot of commotion. Just ignore the comments that you don't agree with: let it slide, support whoever you want to support, and don't waste energy in responding to every single commenter here that sees things differently... it's just not worth it.
ReplyDeleteIs she pretending to be something she is not? Is she trying to be a model?
ReplyDeleteI don't buy it.
:) Thumb up!!!
DeleteNice professional photos for her pressbook.
DeleteMaybe a top mannequin agency will make her an offer 😀
Well if I was still young and had the money I probably die the same thing. Maybe not post or, but young girls just try things. I can imagine it’s harder for her to compete with likes of her mother, her half sister, het sister in law… Don’t judge too hard.
DeleteA Clockwork Orange comes to mind :-D

Indeed...
DeleteA bit late to the party. I saw these when Pss Alexandra posted them a week ago!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, 12:15 - good for you. ~~Ruthie

Hanover is that a small town in Germany?
ReplyDeleteDid you ever have to learn about George III, King of the UK who was grandfather of Queen Victoria. He was from the House of Hanover. It was a kingdom before Germany was unified. That Hanover. Christine
DeleteHannover is a not-that-small city in Germany. The House of Hannover is an aristocratic dynasty.
DeleteWith more than 500.000 citizens I wouldn't call Hannover a small town. In Germany we use to say "Nichts ist doofer als Hannover", which is a bit unfair, since Hannover has some nice areas. But most people only go there to visit a trade fair, the city is well-known for the Hannover Messe. If you need a hotel room then, you will have to pay about 300 to 400 euros, which is very expensive. I think that's the reason they don't like the city. AND the people there don't speak any dialect. The way they speak is said to be "the purest German". All the rest do speak Bavarian or Saxon or Hessian or whatever. Thus many of us believe those Hannover-people are boring or even have no soul. 😁
DeleteVery artificial posing, which is something real models do professionally, kind of emptying/hiding their own personality. She seems to imitate this, but not really successfully and looks just a bit cold and impersonal, kind of wannabe-model. Being more herself could be more convincing. Fashionwise: nice, not more.
Bien vu ! ;-)
Paloma.
Her outfit reminds me of Chanel. Especially the white blouse and the vest. The vest can be imagined longer and become a dress. A rich girl who has nothing else to do than spend her time by putting pictures of herself on Instagram.
ReplyDeleteIt's disappointing there is never a word about university education for her. Claire
Maria.
ReplyDeleteD'accord.
Deletemjt
Nice, if a bit dramatic, posing from the princess' Instagram. I really like the 2nd photo as it is the most natural in the group. Perhaps she is going to become a brand ambassador for Celine. I like that her hair is darker here--I think it's very flattering.
ReplyDeleteJanet
What's with the nastiness people on this blog has been allowed to turn into by Helen. Shocking. Everything is obviously allowed .
ReplyDeleteOther than her hair looks lovely like this, I am not excited about the outfit. Alot of young people just want to be part of the ‘influencer’ crowd that is popular now.
ReplyDeleteA very nice comment. I agree with you.
DeleteTotal agreement with LRB’s post. People are quick to judge H&M but the same rules are overlooked with others. Unfair and biased. Back to topic! Alexandra looks elegant but snobbish in these photos. I think she has an excellent, classic taste in her personal wardrobe but I don’t care much for this outfit, although I love the shoes. I much prefer a lower heel than the stilettos some of the other royal ladies wear. She never wears too much makeup, keeping it simple yet elegant. Does the princess have a job, did she go to university? What does she do?
ReplyDelete@Angelia 03:08
DeleteAccording to Wikipedia she completed her Master of Arts in History and Literature at Columbia University in Paris last year, and is a figure skater (although I think she did that in her early teenage years).
Not sure what she's actually doing with her life though, she turns 26 this year and is probably wealthy enough to never have to really work for a living ;-)
This is a typical post for someone in the princess's peer group. It's just what a lot of them do. I find it silly as I am very private but it is the world we live in today. Don't try to read too much into the post. Allison.
