    3. Question: Does she need to be a princess in order to be featured here? I think not. There have been so many ladies shown on this blog that do not have a princess title - so why should Zara need one to be shown? Zara Tindall is the granddaughter of a queen and the niece of a king. Should suffice, I think.

    4. Google is your friend for these simple questions! As for fashion, she looks snug and relaxed. Hope she gets a lot of wear out of the coat which looks to be leather.

    5. Vous avez raison Anonymous 18h16, Zara n’a pas le titre de princesse.

    8. This blog is not about princesses, it is about royal ladies, of which Zara is (a member of the British Royal Family by blood).

If you want to complain, then complain when you see members of the Spencer family (maternal relatives of princes William and Harry) posted on here.

    2. May I dare to therefore suggest that you therefore don’t write - home or here?! I personally find her refreshingly natural, if privileged, and a very pretty healthy woman, whatever she wears.

    4. To Anon 00:44 and Anon 08:21: Why on earth should I be quiet and not make a purely fashion related opinion? Could it be the reason that it does not agree with yours? Ever heard of freedom of opinion (and expressing it in public? Well, then, it is never too late to begin respecting it. Zara is a lovely woman, but I find this coat rather ugly: colour and this somewhat stiff material make this otherweise well-known style appearing quite hard .

  4. As the daughter of Princess Anne, she is a princess who chooses not to use her title. Unlike the daughters of Prince Andrew , Eugenie & Bea who use their title. They are all granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II

    1. No, Zara non è una principessa e alla nascita non ha avuto nessun titolo nobiliare per volere dei suoi genitori che l’hanno resa libera dal protocollo reale.

    1. Well for all intents and purposes she is a princess if her mother chose to give her the title to use. A rose by any other name is a rose. As far as fashion the coat looks vintage. Seems leather/suede is more prominent these days.

  8. I like the look paired with black accessoires and boots. Would have even chosen a black turtle neck pullover. Very much English countrystyle. But I for myself keep away from suede jackets or coats or boots. Once they get stained it's almost impossible to get them clean. Only quibble: what is it with that hair band? Why not go for a ponytail or a french braid to keep hair out of the face? Or use a silk scarf as head band?

    1. Looks like the other ladies are wearing a hat so perhaps the headband is in lieu of a hat. Looks okay.

    2. The hats of the other ladies look much better than this weird head piece.

  9. Nice coat not a fan of the headband. She sure is busy these days.

  10. As far as I understand the British monarchy, Zara cannot be a princess because the title would come through the male line, not her mother. And her father is a commoner and he declined a title. She was not born a Princess. Her mother,, Princess Anne, cannot pass a title onto her. The only way she could get a title would be if the sovereign granted one and that most likely would be a noble title, such as Lady. And I believe a title would first have to go to her father, who then would pass one on to her. An example: Princess Margaret married a commoner, Antony Armstrong Jones. He accepted the title of Earl which meant her could pass a title onto his daughter - Lady Sarah Chatto.. Now, other posters can fact-check this. I am not 100 percent certain her father would have to get a title first, but I think that's correct. On the subject of Zara's presence on this forum, I agree she should be here. She is of royal blood and is a member of the Royal Family.
, the line between royalty and celebrity has been blurred in recent years. Many of the titled and of the nobility have moved into the realm of celebrity since they no longer have thrones. All of them make for interesting reading and I, for one, enjoy seeing them on this board. (Remember, we are talking about the British monarchy. Other royal houses have different rules about titles.) An example: Princess Madeleine of Sweden's children have royal titles, but their father remains a commoner, at his request, I believe.)

    1. Queen Elizabeth II did offer courtesy titles to Anne's children. Understanding the burden a title can bring, Anne chose to decline the offer. Edward and Sophie's children do not use the titles of prince and princess, because like Anne, they wanted their children to have a more normal life. "At birth, Louise automatically became a princess of the United Kingdom due to letters patent issued in 1917 which assigned princely status and the style of Royal Highness to all children of a monarch's sons." "In 2020, Sophie confirmed that Louise retained her royal title and style and could make a choice on whether to use it from the age of 18." (Sky News, August 2024) She goes on to say that they have brought up their children to understand that they will most likely have to work for a living.

"[W]hile Peter and Zara were not entitled to royal status by birth, the late Queen Elizabeth II extended a courtesy title to her daughter Anne’s children.

Anne chose to politely decline in the hope of providing a more normal childhood for her own children.

“I think it was probably easier for them, and I think most people would argue that there are downsides to having titles. So I think that was probably the right thing to do,” Princess Anne told Vanity Fair in 2020.

Zara Tindall has spoken out about her lack of royal title, revealing she’s grateful to have experienced a sense of normalcy in her life, especially during her childhood.

“From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn’t give us any titles so I really commend her on that. We were very lucky that we got to do it a bit our own way,” Zara told the Seven: Rob Burrow podcast in December 2023."
