Best dressed royal in the world!
ReplyDeleteAgree, she has good taste in clothes.
DeleteAva
Agree,she is flawless
DeleteAll these outfits (one exception) are beautiful and very elegant . They emphasize her classy and classical style. Of course there are details here and there that could be done differently but overall she is very elegant.
ReplyDeleteShe wore the Pearl Poiré Tiara already in Norway. I think it is my favourite Danish big gun especially in combination with the blue top and skirt.
Queen Mary has true charisma - she has a wonderful presence in every picture.
ReplyDeleteAda
Tout lui sied car elle possède une très belle silhouette
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
My favorite ❤️ royal
ReplyDeleteSame here!She is perfect!
DeleteGorgeous clothes, perfect for each occasion. Queen Mary has beauty, elegance, grace, and style. Her poise and charm shine through all of these pictures. She is such an asset for her country.

Thank you for the treat Helen, Mary's taste for what is good for her is exceptional. Well, almost everything is good for her ... even the Sandro dress that I find quite difficult to look nice in it. But Mary can do it.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary has a number of beautiful (evening) gowns. Her day dresses however are not always that special and were already worn on several ocassions when she was still the crown princess. There is more than one queen in Europe of which one can make a choice of her best pictures wearing an evening gown. Apparently Queen Mary's style is considered on this blog as the best. There are other Queens and Princesses whose style is equally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIf this is considered best style, I wonder if this blog is sponsored by Queen Mary. Many of the evening gowns are great, but her choice of jewels is often odd considering the cut, colour and fabric of her gowns. Nothing of her daywear stands out.
DeletePerhaps Helen will do the same showcase for other queens?
DeleteIt’s not a competition, is it? Can we not enjoy Queen Mary’s choices in her own right, AND the choices of other Queens& princesses as well?
DeleteJosephine
She is always beautifully attired and well groomed. Her evening gowns are divine, remodeled and still fresh and different, I love that fact. Her daywear, modern, stylish and chic. Her jewels are always the perfect addition. She is a very elegant and beautifully turned out Queen.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful assortment of dresses. Some I like more, some less. I absolutely adore the costume of Greenland, and I like most the blue in Norway, the red one at the Louvre, and finally the white on from the accession to the throne.
ReplyDeleteThe top part of the red one in Germany I the only thing, I don’t like.
But I underline the statement, that she is one of the best dressed royals 👑
The ivory outfit worn by Queen Mary on the day she officially became Queen is a complete stunner. The winner, for me, out of a fine collection.

Sa silhouette de rêve lui permet de mettre en valeur toutes ces robes !
ReplyDeletePure class how she Carrie’s herself, so dignified in self respect and style of dressing. I admire this woman so much, how she has carried herself in this past year as Queen of Denmark.
ReplyDeleteWrong! She wore the pearl poire tiara for the first time in Norway at the state visit in May, not the incoming one for Iceland in October!!!
ReplyDeleteDenmark's Mary is one of the most beautiful royal ladies of all times.
ReplyDeleteMary is my style icon!
ReplyDeleteWow.
DeleteI know this is a fashion blog, but is fashion really what makes a royal. Is it designer labels, the constantly new expensive pieces, shoes, bags etc. what we look up to when it comes to royals, who are initially funded by the government/taxpayer.
ReplyDeleteStick to the first part of your first sentence…..
DeleteIn her book, Princess Benedikte criticized the younger royals' excessive consummation of clothes.
ReplyDeleteWhat book is that?
DeleteI don't think Prs Benedikte should make this comment, assuming she really did so, since Qn Mary has far more numerous engagements than herself. Not her role to express views about that.
Delete(Please allow me to correct the use of the word "consummation" in this case; it means "accomplishment" and sounds quite odd. It should rather be consumption or acquisition).
Simply the best.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary fell out of the sky for the Kingdom of Denmark.
Thanks Helen for the treat.
Ridiculous statement…it’s well known that Queen Mary flew into Denmark on a winged unicorn escorted by Seraphim to Beethoven’s Ode to Joy…the savior of Denmark!
Delete@ no name 15:09.
DeleteWell well, you could knock me over with a feather.
Not for one minute could I see Mary making such an entrance.
You know, she is a modest young lady from down under and would never get mixed up in such a show.
You see, the Aussies are down to earth people and are not interested in all that tra-la-la stuff.
I’m beginning to get a smell “fake news” here. ☹
I have a question hoping someone can answer.in a country as coid as
ReplyDeleteDenmark in particular the photo of Fred on his coronoation day, Mary has a dress on. To keep warm would the fabric of her dress be a wool crepe or would she have a thermal top on underneath. I am from sunny Australia & really can't work out how you could keep warm in just a dress
Thanks Mary
