On Sunday, December 15, King Carl Gustaf’s sister, Princess Birgitta, was laid to rest. The funeral service for Princess Birgitta was held at the Drottningholm Palace Chapel. She was subsequently interred at the Royal Burial Ground in Haga Park. Princess Birgitta passed away on the island of Mallorca on December 4, 2024, at the age of 87.
In accordance with Princess Birgitta’s wishes, the ceremonies were held in the presence of family and specially invited guests. The funeral service was attended by members of the Princess's family, including King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Princess Christina, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine, and Christopher O'Neill.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the last three pictures here look like paparazzi photos taken through the cover of trees of very private burial moments and I wish instead the family - however public - could grieve in peace.
