    1. Everyone does, what are you saying, there always has to be one person that says ugly things about this sweet lady that has had health challenges as of late. I think she looks lovely!

    1. I agree, it’s the best that P. Irene has looked in ages. Perhaps her health has improved? Q. Sofia looks healthy and rested too. (V.M.)

  5. Ravie de les voir toutes les deux bien vêtues pour assister à ce concert - J'adore la broche de la reine avec ces perles au milieu de petits diamants ; superbe la couleur miel de ses cheveux dont quelques unes de son âge devraient s'inspirer !

  6. I think Q. Sofia has had recent plastic surgery on her face. She looks younger.

I don't think so. It is not at her age that one begin normally with plastic surgery. Queen Sofia was a beautiful woman when she was young(er).
When her hair is done she always looks better.Aren't we all ?
@ Fitzhugh. Princess Irene's hair is done too. She is ill and in a wheel chair since several years now. She is dressed better too than usual. I think Queen Sofia (who deserves a medal for looking after her sister) especially since she had her share in live too and she is not getting any younger either.

I don't think Princess Irene's health can improve. I don't know from which health problems she is suffering, but looking at her swollen ankles, I think she must be in her wheel chair the whole day. In the homes for the elderly, people who are in a wheel chair all the time are receiving special excercises for their legs and feet by the physiotherapists. I suppose Princess Irene is receiving the best medical help from physiotherapists who are visiting her at home.

  8. Queen Sofia looks great, she belongs to the old guard: daughter of a King, sister of a King, wife of a King, mother of a King. Not many have that pedigree. And she has kept her poised during good and bad times, again she belongs to the old guard.

  9. Dear Fitzhugh, I don‘t understand your reaction. There have been many photos of Princess Irene on this blog with unkempt hair and the reactions were perfectly logical considering that Irene is a semi-public figure. Ugly bloggers? This time everyone is full of praise and has reacted accordingly.

  10. Dear Queen. I miss your Queen jewels, the pearls, the diamonds. In your own dressing code you set the tone.
