  1. The Queen looks lovely and stylish, while Madeleine seems to be staying for the week-end

    1. Yes, the Queen always looks stunning and elegant! It’s great to see Princess Madeleine spending some quality time with the family. Looks like a lovely weekend ahead 😛😉

  2. Both the Queen and the Princess look lovely and festive! I especially like the color of princess Madeline‘s pantsuit. However, the suit appears too big on her small frame.

    1. Princess Madeleine has lost a lot of her weight.

    2. @Lili I see what you mean with Madeleine's suit appearing a bit wide for her. It might be because of the angle of when the photo was taken. I agree that the colour is great, and to me she looks fantastic!

They both gave a tv-interview as well on this occasion, if someone is interested (in Swedish and no subtitles I'm afraid):

  3. Mère et fille élégantes dans leur tailleur/pantalon ; la couleur du velours porté par Madeleine lui sied à merveille ; en effet, il apporte une touche lumineuse !

  5. I can imagine it must be very fine for Queen Silvia to be accompanied by her daughter now that she is getting a bit older. After all the queen is a woman like any other and she is still doing her work with much enthusiasm, but one cannot stop the process of getting older. I think she is passing slowly but surely her work to Princess Madeleine.
They are both dressed appropriately for this event.

    1. I feel the same, the princess is being groomed to take over her mothers charities. Both look lovely

  6. Elles sont élégantes toutes les deux et j'aime les deux tenues même si celle de Silvia est très classique. Paloma.

  7. The Queen and her daughter are nicely dressed.

In contrast to her mother, Pss. Madeleine does not appear authentic in her commitment for social projects. She's a doll and self-centered.

    1. And you know that because you personally know her?

    2. Karen 😉 It’s true that Queen Silvia has long been known for her charity work, but Princess Madeleine has also been involved in causes, especially children’s rights, though often in a quieter way. People express commitment differently, and her lower public profile doesn’t necessarily mean she’s less dedicated. Everyone contributes in their own way.

  13. Where are those voices today that constantly trash those women who wear bow blouses? Granny look, old librarian etc. etc, you name it. Here we have a dignified, youthful grandmother who looks wonderful. Not so fond of the shoes, but that is not my point.

  14. Queen Sylvia's shoes are probably shoes she likes to wear, which are easy on her feet and which are not new. But to me these are quite normal classic shoes, you can still buy today. Any way they look much better than Princess Anne's, who wear shoes sometimes which are realy used and have a shape like in the 60s. I know it because I had the same style of shoes myselft, but mine have been given away to the collecters of old clothes, shoes and house linen who use it for charity and recycling. The money they receive for it is used to support people in need and poverty.

  16. Dear No Name 15:25, I have nothing against old and comfortable shoes, I have them myself, however, there are styles that never look dated, others do, difficult to describe. Princess Anne exaggerates at times. Unfortunately, shoes and clothing
are not recycled enough and we should therefore buy less and rewear more.
