On December 5, 2024, Queen Camilla attended the 50 Years of Women's Aid anniversary reception at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The Queen met with survivors of domestic abuse and supporters of Women's Aid. Founded in 1974, Women’s Aid brings together a network of 180 specialist organisations, which run almost 300 support services.
Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, along with Sheikha Jawaher, made a two-day official state visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of the King. On the final day of their official visit to the United Kingdom, the Emir of Qatar and Sheikha Jawaher bid farewell to King Charles and Queen Camilla at Buckingham Palace in London.
Oh, the pearl choker, beautiful it looks superb. Love the cape.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that Queen Camilla was able to join in both of these events. She has been so dedicated to the cause of ending domestic violence. I am glad she was able to be part of this anniversary celebration because her focus on domestic abuse is so importance to such a worthy cause and she knows this. It was also so nice that as the hostess, she was able to see off her Qatari guests. As for her fashion, the simple day dress was perfect. You can see from the other women present that Camilla's choice fits right in as it is simple and something anyone might wear. I love her purple cape for the departure ceremony. The purple makes Camilla's deep blue eyes almost look purple--and the amethyst clasp on her pearl necklace is beautiful. I hope attending all these events back to back indicate that her recovery is progressing even better and that she will be fully recovered well before the Christmas holidays.

The purple cape is stunning
ReplyDeleteSie meinen vielleicht Katie Piper? Sie überlebte ein Säure-Attentat. Welch starke Frau!

Yes, Mrs Piper.
DeleteThe caped purple collarless coat, paired with accessories in black and the pearl necklace, is pure, pared-down elegance — absolutely appropriate to the occasion and to Camilla’s role in the life of her country. I hope that whoever put this look together for her will play an important role in the queen’s sartorial choices going forward. — Jane
ReplyDeleteLovely color for Queen Camilla. It suits her. I think she must like the capes worn by Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde so that she also decided to let her dress maker design one for her. And she adopted the monochromatic look too, because I see that the sleeves of ther dress she is wearing underneath have the same purple color. I applaud her for trying at least something new. I don't think that the boots she is wearing are beautiful. The two colors make them worse than the other black suede boots she wore last winter and the winter before. What a pity to ruin her new outfit like that.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts as well. The cape and coordinating dress are a surprising new style for Camilla, ruined by the boots.
DeleteOh the cape with the pearls is very striking and suits the Queen well. I’m not as enthused about the dress/blouse combo. It certainly looks comfortable but she has more interesting options for sure, I think we were spoiled by seeing her in the grey dress and jacket the other day when she met up with Mme Macron. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteAt least the pearls are nice
ReplyDeleteLove Camillas purple outfit. She looks stunning. Love the pearls.
