The heir to the throne will depart from Cádiz and spend five months at sea, during which she will visit eight countries. The royal family’s connection with the training ship dates back to 1928, when King Alfonso XIII embarked on its maiden voyage, sailing from Cádiz to Málaga for sea trials. In 1958, Prince Juan Carlos, then heir to the throne, joined as a midshipman for the 30th training cruise. On January 10, 1987, Felipe, then Prince of Asturias, took part in the 58th training cruise.

Absolutely! It takes a lot of courage and determination to pursue something with passion at a young age. Her family and country must be incredibly proud of her achievements and the path she's carving for herself.

    1. The right thing to say, my 5 cents, is that especially in her marine clothes, she looks quite good. Uniforms are designed to project professionalism, belonging to a group, competence and respect: all of these constitute a major part of how a person appears before the others.

It definitely sounds like an amazing experience! Spending five months aboard a ship must offer so many unique challenges and opportunities. And I agree, even in her marine clothes, she still manages to look great—her confidence shines through!

I think Anon. 03:06 meant "qu'elle serait inquiète", or "je m'ennuierais" is a sort of synonyme.

I can understand that feeling—it must be tough being away for so long. Hopefully, she’s able to stay strong and make the most of the experience. And fingers crossed, no seasickness!

A floating palace is probably installed in this ship for her Royal Highness. It’s a long holidays and brilliant experience for her, she will be an expert in sailing after this.
Happy 2025 to her and to you too, readers of this blog ! 🥂🍾

I’m not so sure about that. While it may be a luxurious experience, spending time on a ship doesn’t necessarily make someone an expert in sailing. The realities of navigating the open sea are far more complex than just enjoying a ”floating palace”. It’s more about the skill and dedication involved in mastering sailing, rather than the luxury of the environment.
