On December 12, 2024, as part of the end-of-year celebrations, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène, accompanied by Camille Gottlieb, visited the Rosine Sanmori daycare and nursery, followed by the Princess Charlène Home, to distribute Christmas gifts. Later, they distributed gourmet gift packages to elderly individuals supported by the Monaco Red Cross social service. This year, the traditional gift package distribution was held at the Yacht Club.

    2. I agree. More cheerful, festive colors would not be amiss for this occasion.

I have never heard that because they are the prince and princess of Monaco, they must wear black ? Besides Prince Albert is wearing a bright blue suit. It is only Princess Charlene who is wearing black ! There goes your theory.

    4. Did you see picture N° 4 ?. In the back on the right, you see a lady with the red jacket of membership of the Red Cross Organization. The only thing Prince Albert and Princess Charlene are doing is handing over the presents of the Red Cross to the people who receive social service support. I guess the prince, since he is president of about every organization in Monaco, payed his contribution as president of the red cross. In my town the red cross asks for contribution in times of need to the habitants. When the covid virus arrived they asked a contribution from every habitant in the region where I live. What they finally did with the money they collected, I have never known.

  3. I am a fan of HSH Princess Charlene but not the armless coats that she tends to favor lately. Her hair looks lovely. She seems so confident now and I would love to see her wearing more Chanel like her sister- in- law Caroline and Charlotte also!

    1. Fitzhugh I don’t like the long sleeveless coats much either. That said of course she looks fantastic anyway. I often wonder when I see her recently always smiling what she went through that she was almost never smiling for all those photos for all those years.

    2. @Fitzhugh: What do you mean with "... she tends to favor lately"? Hasn't she been wearing this brand - and this style, and even this particular coat - for much longer? It might not be everyone's taste but I think she looks very good in it. I don't agree with Chanel: I find that both Caroline and Charlotte can wear very unflattering outfits when they are dressed in Chanel. I see it work even less on Charlene's posture.

    3. Neither am I a fan of sleeveless coats. I agree that it fits Pr Charlene very well, but not to my personal taste.

    4. If you’re interested in fashion history and if you have the time, take a look at what’s behind the name of A-K-R-I-S.
A small Swiss workshop established in 1922 to make aprons.
Another rags to riches story in the history of the rag trade.
It is still a 3re generation, family owned business.
I don't know if they styill make aprons 😁

    5. Hello deadeggs I like this brand but I am expressing I do not like sleeveless coat no matter who makes them!

    6. @09:15 Oh my goodness do we really need to give an exact timeline on how long she has been wearing them, I think not and as for Chanel I do not like some of the choices charlotte wears either but I have seen many of their clothes I do like and the beauty of this blog is that we have the right to express our opinion and I am just saying I do not like sleeveless coat I am sure there are some fashions choices the royal ladies wear and you as well should have the right to express your opinion. I hope I have clarified my opinion so you can get a good nights sleep, SWEET DREAMS!

    7. @ deadeggs also I would not like sleeveless coats if Chanel made them, Valentino, Carolina Herrera or Hubert de Givenchy who probably is up in heaven kicking clouds I hope and oh by the way I am glad you are posting your humorous and informative comments more frequently now and hope your mother-in-law is doing much better. Happy holidays!!!

    8. Personally I think it's great she DOESN'T mimic Caroline or Charlotte and has found her own personal style. Caroline and Charlotte are always in Chanel, are always predictable, always look exactly the same at every event and maybe should try something new already.

    9. Hello FITZHUGH
Thanks for your wishes for my mother-in-law.
You know, things are improving and I just push on with my family responsibilities.
People never hear me complaining nor explaining.
Although you may find me rolling my eyes to the back of my head and thinking of what the famous American novelist Harper Lee said “You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family”.😣

    10. Hey Fitzhugh, no need to get so worked up: I did not mean anything bad with my comment (@9:15). I was only responding to your post, and wasn't sure if I was remembering it wrongly about her wearing these for a longer time rather than lately. So no: I was not asking for a timeline ;-) The rest of it was just expressing my opinion without wanting to take anything away from yours. I will try to write things clearer next time so we can avoid this kind of confusion.

Princess Charlene is a beautiful princess. And it would appear that she is beautiful both inside and out. Great hair style and sincere smiles to young and old alike - totally engaged. Many will complain about her dark green and black. But Akris seems to be a favorite designer of hers and the outfit is perfectly fitted. Shows off the colorful flower bouquet and photographs well. Nice to see Camille joining the royal couple.

  8. She looks very nice. I have noticed that many of the European royals are wearing dark colours, ie queen of Spain, CP Victoria a Sweden. So cute to see her sitting on the floor with the little child on her lap.

    1. In certain monarchies special court dresses were worn - not only by the royal family but also by the aristorcracy attending court ceremonies. Black court dress/suit was worn at least in Spain (16th century) and in Sweden (late 18th century). But there were also royal courts elsewhere where black was allowed only during mourning.

I love everything. Hair and make up on point. Pss Charlene is about the only royal lady with the height to carry off a long waist jacket.

You forget Queen Mathilde and Queen Maxima who are both the tallest queens of Europe. Maybe they should take a picture with Princess Charlene and wearing all three the same height of heels to see which one is the tallest. Besides as well Queen Mathilde as Queen Maxima are wearing the same type of coats but with sleeves. And it are not the sleeves which will make the difference.

  13. Marvelous event for all involved! Charlene looks wonderful and her choice of outfit is great so that she is able to move around so easily with the people she is meeting--love the picture of her sitting on the floor with the little boy as he enjoys his present. Kind of wish there had been a bit of Xmas color added to her outfit but she looks stunning.
