On December 7, 2024, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the Men’s Football Cup Final between Fredrikstad and Molde at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo. Fredrikstad defeated Molde in a penalty shootout at Ullevaal, becoming the 2024 Cup Champions. Following the match, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess presented the trophy to Fredrikstad in celebration of their victory.
