Louis Ducruet and Marie Ducruet shared a new family photo featuring their newborn daughter, Constance Ducruet, in celebration of Christmas. This marks the first family photo of Louis and Marie with their two daughters, Victoire and Constance. The picture also included the family's beloved dog, Pancake. Louis, the son of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, and his wife welcomed their second daughter in early December.

  1. Lovely family but with all due respect either show the kids' faces or not. The photos look a bit strange. I guess they are afraid of maybe kidnapping but then I would not show them at all. But I guess it is difficult to put oneself into their position.

  2. Congratulations on the birth of Constance. Just a thought. I have respect for the parents for protecting the privacy of their children. Then just do so. But don't publish this type of photo's, it is just senseless.

  3. There’s a newborn somewhere in there? Cant see much of anything. I understand privacy especially with children but why even bother?
On a positive note note Marie is very beautiful and Pancake adorable!

  4. I have to wonder, what is the point? Sharing a photo of themselves as a couple, yet covering the faces of the children, rather odd.

  5. Better if they don’t share the pics of their daughters at all if want some privacy. What a nonsense.

  6. Nonsense! Either they share family pictures with the public or not.

  8. I know the considerations about privacy and respect them, if the parents think they are appropriate. But don't pretend to show them and then fool all people with rose petals and the family dog, because thank you very much, no interest in petals and family dogs and hidden children. This is ridiculous.

  9. Vraiment, je suis déçue de ne pas mieux voir les frimousses de Constance et Victoria trop cachées sur les deux photos ; par contre, les parents n'ont pas manqué de bien montrer leur chien Pancake ! !

  10. Congratulations to this lovely couple on their beautiful new baby girl! The pictures of the family are happy and festive. While I respect their wishes to protect their children’s privacy, the question remains, why publish any pictures are all? The Ducruets are not full time working royals and they have the good fortune of enjoying their privacy while also, enjoying the benefits of being a part of the royal family. Just my opinion.

  11. Hmmm not so much “sharing a new family photo featuring their newborn daughter” as “really not sharing a photo of their newborn”. I wonder why they didn’t simply choose to leave their kids out of the pictures rather than have them in and obliterate their faces?!

  13. For me either you put your children on the photo or you don't. Think this looks a bit odd.

  15. Okay I understand not wanting to publish your children’s faces, but what is the purpose of a photo like this given for public viewing if you don’t want to show their face. Just don’t submit a photo. Dog looks nice

    1. At this point why share the dog's image either? What about his/her privacy? Did the dog give consent for his/her image to be shared? I mean, that's how ridiculous this is. I agree with you; just don't submit a photo.

  16. Okay, if you don't want us to see your kids faces, you don't share the photo(s)! This is ridiculous in my opinion. Is there a high demand from the public for this couple/family? I don't think so. Most of the world don't even know their names or royal connection.

I get, and totally understand, wanting safety and privacy for your kids because, hey, they didn't ask to be born into a well-known (infamous?) family. But if that truly is your priority - STOP SHARING! As far as I know, no one is holding a gun to their heads forcing them to share. Was there a mandate from Prince Albert that you share a Christmas photo with the world? Someone please tell me if he did.

These "peripheral royals" with no real positions or duties just need to stop. They want attention but they don't want the attention? You're either in, or you're out. I'm not saying you can't go to family functions or events that the royal house has invited you too, etc., but get real. Stuff like this just makes you look pretentious and needy. Ugh!

  17. The York sisters do this as well, show the backs of their heads. I understand security so just don’t bother to publish silly photos like this. The dog is a bit camera shy too. Mama is very pretty

  18. Yeah, I don’t understand why they bothered with the kids in the photos at all if they don’t want us to see their faces. How annoying.

  19. Hey for once we seem to be all in agreement!!! A Christmas miracle?! We would prefer a couple don’t share their kids faces at all (completely valid idea and very wise of course!) than to show them obliterated … which we seem to all agree is silly nonsense. Yay for Team Commenters!!!

    1. We are not all in agreement. The pictures released give us a glimpse of who they are in their personal lives. They obviously have a very fun side, using the confetti (which is a very clever way to obscure the children's faces), and then the old school, almost tongue-in-cheek family pose with Christmas sweaters and the dog. Of course they could have chosen to keep the pictures to themselves, but there are people who are curious about them, especially since their family has grown. They owe the public absolutely nothing, and it is pitiful how wounded all of you seem over this. The world is a very dangerous place these days, especially with the disgusting things people do with children's pictures on the Dark Web. Times have changed and we are never going back to the way it used to be. Get used to it. We are going to see even more of this kind of thing in the future.
