On Monday morning, December 9, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited Tarwekamp in The Hague, where an apartment block in the Mariahoeve neighborhood was destroyed by an explosion and subsequent fire. Their visit aimed to express condolences and provide support to those directly affected. Mayor Van Zanen was also present during the visit.
The King and Queen were briefed on the rescue operations conducted by emergency services and the current situation in the area. Afterward, they visited the community center Lichtpuntjes van Mariahoeve, where they first spoke with victims and residents, followed by a meeting with organizers of relief initiatives.

Carpe diem
DeleteSo unprofessional to go out to a tragedy with your hair in such a state. No time? One small hair tie/band, would have solved the problem.
ReplyDeleteReally? So unprofessional thuis reaction. People died and you are so stupid to react in het hair? No time to think???
DeleteThey were there to support, and nobody cares about QM hair at that moment. What were you thinking?
DeleteI agree with original poster, it takes 2 seconds to reach for that tie back. Its not like she doesnt so this for official occasions as well and it reflects negatively on her. For all her bright smiles, or odd clothing, or jewelry, the hair is something she can control quite easily.
DeleteShould she go to a hairdresser and don a gala look to visit the site of a tragedy? I think she looks good. It's cold and windy in the Netherlands these days and this is a super low-key outing - they both handled it well.
Delete-Nika-
Maxima’s hair is how she wants it. She has the resources to change it and does sometimes and other times not. I think this means she likes it as it is.
DeleteFully agree with 01:01. Yes we have to accept "she likes it as it is".
DeleteJ'aime beaucoup le style du manteau de Maxima douillet et confortable !
ReplyDeleteEven the hair is in shock.
ReplyDelete-Anna-
Really Anna? Read the newspapers…. Such a tragedy and you are complaining about her hair? So stupid reaction
Deletelol at the original poster, and the person who is criticizing her is really rather odd, its about self-care, dignity, and self-respect. A hair tie, low pony tail would look great no matter the occasion, happy or sad, rather than the birds nest of a mess.
DeleteNice to see them out, meeting to see what is being done for the people. Like her coat, looks nice and warm.
ReplyDeleteWell said!
DeleteJust for show. Home by 8!
DeleteWhat is this obsession with her hair!! She is a beautiful, intelligent, accomplished woman.
ReplyDeleteBe grateful for a such a wonderful representative for the Kingdom of the Netherlands!
I agree.
DeleteMost Dutch people are not so enthousiastic about their Queen as foreigners: read the comments above!
DeleteAbsolutely. The hair focus and petty focus is callous.
DeleteYes I also read, this royal couple is far from the popularity Qn Beatrix enjoyed.
DeleteWas lovely the royal couple meet with the people.

ReplyDeleteHer hair, what is the big deal. Not a planned event so put a coat on and go. Timing is perfect, giving emergency crews time and space to do their job. But showing up to understand all that is being done and where they can lend support.
ReplyDeleteLovely couple.
Ils sont présents et c est le principal
ReplyDeleteLes cheveux ont y habitué
Froufrou
Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t notice Queen Max’s hair.
ReplyDeleteI was too occupied thinking about the disaster and the victims.
But I’m sure the families will forgive their Queen for arriving without
an updo and a tiara.
Hello, Deadeggs.
DeleteAbsolutely in agreement with you.
Being there, following emergency crews operations and lending support to those affected is by far priority N1 for the Royal Couple.
The hair!
Who cares under these tragic circumstances?
Putting a royal lady down serms to be the real priority in life for the pointless nuisance on this site.
Words fail me.
I think someone has lost her grip on reality once again.
Love your comment. People are so happy that king and queen are so warm to the victims. They were very emotional
