On Christmas Eve, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden read the Christmas Gospel on SVT, Sweden's national television. The Christmas Gospel is the passage from the Bible (Luke 2:1–20) that tells the story of Jesus's birth and is traditionally read in many churches and homes during the Christmas season. The reading was pre-recorded in the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
