On Christmas Eve, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, and Prince Oscar of Sweden visited the officers and soldiers of the Royal Guards in the guard wing of the Royal Palace in Stockholm to wish them a Merry Christmas. Many people across Sweden work during Christmas, including those in the Armed Forces.
The Royal Guards act as the King’s honor guard and are tasked with protecting the Royal Palace and Drottningholm Palace. The guard also plays an important role in military preparedness in Stockholm. During the holiday season, the Life Guards are responsible for the Royal Guard. During the visit to the guard wing, the Crown Princess Family participated in the morning assembly of the officers and soldiers.
Filippa K Faux Fur Jacket
Wonderfully feminine in festive red on the one hand, but robust boots appropriate to the occasion on the other. Clever and lovely combination.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a thoughtful and warm gesture from Victoria & family!
ReplyDeleteYep, a lot of people work at Christmas ti me too, notably the armed forces , air force crews, policemen and so many others including all volunteers.
Kudos to all their hard work and sacrifices, no matter where they serve, whether at home or those deployed abroad.
Under every bit of the sky, under all circumstances, be it hot or freezing cold, even in the darkest hours, they serve everywhere putting at risk their own lives for the sake of justice, peace and the noblest human values.
Thank you everyone, I can relate too.
A Merry Christmas to all of them.
Absolutely, it's a beautiful reminder of the incredible dedication and selflessness of those who serve, especially during the holidays. Their sacrifices, whether near or far, often go unnoticed, but their commitment to upholding peace, safety, and human dignity is truly admirable. It's so important to recognize and appreciate their hard work and bravery, no matter the circumstances.
DeleteP the original. Well said and beautifully articulated. Isn't it marvelous that the royal couple and the children paid this visit, just splendid. Hugs
DeleteBelle combinaison du rouge et noir mais au niveau des bottes de Victoria, je trouve qu'elles me semblent trop lourdes pour cette occasion !
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful and heartwarming gesture from Crown Princess Victoria and her family! It's truly special to see them recognize the hard work and dedication of the Royal Guards, especially during the festive season. The Royal Guards play such a vital role in both protecting the Royal Palaces and ensuring military readiness, so it's lovely to see their efforts acknowledged. It's a powerful reminder of the many who continue to serve, often quietly, during the holidays. A truly meaningful tradition!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Princess Estelle.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! When did she grow up?

ReplyDeleteHuh? Don’t understand the one word comment and not sure the online autotranslators do either? Lovely gesture by this sweet family!
DeleteThis was a beautiful and meaningful visit. Especially at this time of year and I'm sure it was much appreciated by the Royal Guards. CP Victoria looks very festive in her red ensemble. She has real charm, she does such a wonderful job, I admire her greatly. Princess Estelle, what a delight, she has grown up and so mature, wonderful. Little Prince Oscar, what a sweet little one! Prince Daniel and Victoria have done such a fine job raising the children. They seem well adjusted and happy.
ReplyDeleteJe déteste la tenue de Victoria. L’ensemble rouge se dispense de l affreuse veste fourrure qui paraît trop grande et que dire des bottes … 😏
ReplyDeleteThe boots are practical for a cold walk, that’s all. The dress I love as it’s cherry and soft.
DeletePss Estelle really has grown, she is almost as tall as her mother. Love CPss Victorias outfit, not so much the boots, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.'
