Princess Claire attended the Circus School of Brussels (Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles) event at the Centre de Vie in Jette. The Princess visited the Espace Cirque and Mini Espace Cirque classes, which provide training as part of the French Community Commission's (Cocof) social cohesion program. The school offers circus classes for children and young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods, whether or not they have physical or mental disabilities.
Its splendid to see Princess Claire attend and participate in the event, hands on. She looks great and appropriately dressed. It looked a great day of fun.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she had fun!

DeleteWhat is so rude about it ? Besides the official events in the presence of the Royal Family (for which she always receive an invitation), Princess Delphine is sometimes receiving invitations which she can accept or not. The invitations are sent to her as a private person or as an artist. She does not receive a dotation from the Belgian Government (she always said herself that she didn't want money, just being recognized and accepted as King Albert II daughter. Prince Laurent and princess Claire do receive a dotation. The Circus School of Brussels was visited regularly by Prince Laurent (and his family). Today it is Princess Claire who is present instead of Prince Laurent. Princess Claire has also been taking over some visits of Queen Paola, because she is not able anymore to do this herself due to her age and the health problems she has. The expression a "working royal" is used frequently on this blog to indicate which Prince or Princess is asked to represent the King or Queen. In Belgium the "working royals" are limited to a low number of people. In the future when Princess Elisabeth has finished her studies, she will represent and help her parents, then she will receive a dotation too, (she has the right to receive this dotation since the day she became 18 years old) which she has refused as long as she is not "a working royal".
Love, love princess Claire’s jacket.

Dès que je vois la princesse Claire sur la première photo avec son gros nez rouge, cela me fait beaucoup penser à l'association Le rire médecin en contact avec les enfants dans les hôpitaux pour laquelle j'effectue des dons !
ReplyDeleteStrange outfit, can't she cope with children?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteOf course she can coop with children, she has raised 3 children !
DeleteShe looks happy, she listened to the stories the children have to tell. She is serving drinks to them. She is playing with them by trying to imitate their circus acts. She is laughing and smiling. What else do you want ?
