On December 4, 2024, Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their marriage. To mark this special occasion, the Royal Palace released two new photos of the King and Queen. The wedding of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde took place on December 4, 1999, in Brussels. They have four children: Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, and Princess Eléonore. In the newly released photos, Queen Mathilde is seen wearing a white jumpsuit by Natan Couture.
Lovely dress and a lovely couple!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to one of my favourite Royal couples. The King is not particularly demonstrative but in these shots you can see the love and delight in his face. I’m not a fan of Natan generally however this jumpsuit is a lovely colour for QM and it fits her well. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to this lovely couple. Their love always radiates from their faces. As I wrote before how many times I read a comment here that says Natan not my favourite in general but this time yes. Conclusion in general the visitors of this blog like Natan 😁

DeleteI agree with your comment about Natan. It is becoming an automatic reaction among certain bloggers, when they see the name of Natan automatically the give a bad comment without looking how the dress suits the wearer.
The king is not particularly demonstrative ? I think King Philippe and King Willem Alexander are the only ones who are not afraid to show their love for their wife.
DeleteTrès beau couple qui à l'occasion, sait montrer tout son amour ; la couleur blanche va à merveille à Mathilde !
ReplyDeleteMathilde is perfectly attired. She wears (columnar) white very well as we have seen before in other gowns, and this jumpsuit suits her height and figure beautifully. The breezy chiffon capelet gives an air of romance. Both of them look so in love. Congratulations to them, and wishing them many more happy years together.

ReplyDeleteA sweet couple. A Natan but it fit and suits the queen very nicely

Queen Mathilde is wearing the suit she wore at the dinner party of the opening of the Olympic Games last Summer. The comments on her suit were not so good then : "too bridal", "too high neckline", and "of course it is Natan", ....
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden the majority finally sees how beautiful Queen Mathilde looks. Maybe because the pictures are taken in the Parc of the Castle in Laeken and the king and queen are looking so in love.
I also love the king's tie.
I hope they can enjoy their evening and have a nice and quiet anniversary together. Normally Queen Mathilde had a visit today, while the king and the sultan went visiting something.
It's great to see Queen Mathilde's elegant suit being more appreciated now, especially in the beautiful setting of Laeken with the King. The genuine affection between them adds to the moment. I also love the King's tie. Wishing them a peaceful and joyful anniversary!
DeleteI just commented on the state visit post that the light ensemble Mathilde wore today aged her tremendously. Seeing these pictures now, I think it's mostly due to the pleats and frills and stiff cloth, though - because she looks fantastic in this more flowy white outfit. I also think the slightly more natural hair is more becoming than the backcombed, hairsprayed version she often opts for on official visits. The first picture is particularly lovely - I can literally SEE the movement in that shot.

DeleteQueen Mathilde doesn't use much hairspray. If you have access to other blogs and other websites you'll see pictures of her with her hair blown away by the wind. If you live in a country like Belgium where in the Autumn we have a lot of days with much wind and stormy weather, your hair is blowing away constantly. A little bit of hairspray (of good quality and the lowest number) is needed even if one has short hair like myself. Her hair is not backcombed either because she has a separation on the right side of her head. The things that you say about her hair is in the same style ast the Natan story, you don't even look anymore at her hair because you didn't notice that her hair is never backcombed.
Such nice people, these two. They seem quite intelligent but humble at the same time. I like the vibe they give and based on my reading they are very popular in Belgium. Wishing them continued happiness and good health at the helm of their country.
ReplyDeleteMathilde looks wonderful in this columnar white outfit. It’s light and airy and suits her surprisingly well (given her complexion).

DeleteKing Philippe and Queen Mathilde are not only popular in Belgium but also abroad. There are good friends with many other royals and (ex-)presidents.
I imagined that would be the case, but didn’t want to assume it was a fact (on the popularity point). Thank you for confirming.

Love how they paid tribute back to where their engagement days happened, during the media introduction of the then Prince Philippe's fiancée.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, the Queen is glowing! she looks radiant. Love what she is wearing, this suits her well. Flowing and elegant, gorgeous. Love her natural looking hairstyle, stunning!
ReplyDeleteMathilde is a regal in white. Wonderful couple that radiates with so much serenity and love.

Paloma.
