On November 5, The Duchess of Edinburgh visited Legoland Windsor in her role as Patron of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). Legoland is hosting an event to mark the launch of the NSPCC’s annual Number Day, which will take place on February 7. Number Day is an inclusive, maths-inspired fundraising event providing free math resources and activities for children from nursery to secondary school.

Beautiful outfit but too pale, maybe some burgundy accent would brighten things up
ReplyDeleteNot crazy about the boots. Love the bag.
ReplyDeleteOoh I love the boots! And love the pic of Sophie with the little girl. - Grace
DeleteI love the tonal dress and boots but would have chosen a slightly shorter topper for better proportions overall. D. Sophie is fond of using her jackets somewhat randomly regardless of what she’s wearing underneath. Nevertheless, the colours are very nice together. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteWonderfull ton-sur-ton outfit!
ReplyDeleteAgree, lovely ton-sur-ton. Very autumnal.
DeleteThis is where our ever-present advice for a “pop of colour” wouldn’t work.
I think the bouquet is a composition of ceramic flowers.
Maybe done by the children in the association's workshops.
No, not "ton-sur-ton" which means, at least in French, exactly the same color of dress, jacket, shoes, etc... In fashion language it is called a monochromatic look which means almost the same color but slightly different . I love her boots. In any case she is looking good. I love the bouquet of artistic flowers.

DeleteBig merci pour toutes les informations. 😀
Love the dress and blazer! Beautiful look together and Sophie looks beautiful. I wish she had chosen to wear a darker color boot--a shade of dark tan/brown would have been better choice imho. Her boots are great but the long continuous oatmeal looking color is a bit much.

I believe good supporting under garments make an outfit.Whether it be high end or high street! With Sophie in the first few photos the light colored dress only draws the eyes to the midriff. A good spare of spanks and a well fitted bra, would have truly elevated this look. Also, maybe an autumnal color such as brown, burgundy would have taken the look to whole new level.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
A better-fitting bra? Why? I cannot even see that area properly, and I don‘t think this is our business. Regarding the lower area, this lady has born two children and has obviously no intention of hiding anything.

Brown and burgundy are indeed fashionable autumnal colors. But these light tones of beige and off-white are still very fashionable too.
Delete@virginia. My apologies I thought this was a fashion blog, where contrasting comments were welcome. If only I knew the rule of thumb I might not have highlighted a fundamental rule when dressing for an official event. Look ones best. Suggesting better undergarments is just that a suggestion!
DeleteBut please feel free to put me back in my place, with you being the blog owner and all! But wait, you’re not! So normal service will resume!
Lowri.
Love this ensemble especially the blazer.
ReplyDeleteThe boots look fabulous.
Paloma.
Nice, but not a fan of the boots. Also, a little bit of color would not hurt.
