Queen Rania and Princess Rajwa visited the Naqsh Collective workshop in Amman. Naqsh Collective was founded by sisters Nisreen Abudail, an architect based in Amman, and Nermeen Abudail, a graphic designer based in Dubai. Of Palestinian descent, the sisters established Naqsh Collective in 2009, drawing inspiration from traditional aesthetics such as Islamic patterned calligraphy, Palestinian embroidery, and contemporary art.
The name 'Naqsh' means 'to engrave' and reflects the idea that engraving is one of the oldest ways humanity has left its mark or told a story. The Abudail sisters have participated in national and international events, exhibited in numerous museums, and were finalists for the Jameel Prize 5, awarded by Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
QR and PR both look fantastic during this visit.
ReplyDeleteBoth very beautiful women
ReplyDeleteCasual, yet pulled together. She looks very approachable.
ReplyDeleteMolto belle entrambe, ma avrei voluto vedere di più la principessa Rajwa nel suo splendore naturale.
ReplyDeleteRossella 🖤
Beautiful 💕
ReplyDeleteQueen Rania looks good in her casual attire--one thing she should be aware of is the tendency of her top to ride up so tucked in might have been a better alternative. I cannot see too much of what Rajwa is wearing but the color is beautiful on her and I love her hairstyle. She looks beautiful. Both ladies look great here.
