On November 12, Queen Máxima attended the national working conference 'More Access to Art and Culture' at the Leerhotel Het Klooster in Amersfoort. The event was organized by the More Music in the Classroom Foundation, of which Queen Máxima is the honorary chair. Partners of the foundation from the cultural and education sectors came together to take the next step in strengthening the established local networks around music.

The Queen joined discussions on schools that have successfully integrated art and culture into after-school programs, highlighting the challenges faced by different regions. She also visited a cooking workshop for elementary school students led by culinary chef Samuel, as cooking is a particular focus during this working conference. The foundation aims to broaden students' horizons and contribute to the cognitive, social, and creative development of children.

  1. Queen Maxima took out of her dressing an old Gucci bag to wear with the brown checkered Natan suit she wears at least once every Autumn. This type of bags is in again.

    2. Agree, and pics 3 and 4 show this so well. In those photos we see that the colouring of the top suits her very well. I think the material colouring of the pants is also great for her, but I don’t love the regularly stiff/oversized cut of Nathan’s trousers designs. But she obviously does and she looks confident and radiant in the outfit.. and if that’s how an outfit makes a woman feel, more power to her (even if I don’t love it!?)!. - Grace

  4. Wide sleeves and wide trousers is too bulky imo. Material and print are beautiful however.

  5. Awful. I don't understand why she wears cumbersome Natan outfits so often, it does her no favors.

She looks fabulous as does the lady all in black with the vivid green coat, lovely!

  8. Well...it's Natan's creation. Same usual fit issues. And also exaggerated proportions. Máxima is a beautiful woman with an exuberant personality. This sometimes mitigates Natan's horrible creations that she and Mathilde are so fond of.

  10. Really, sorry but today's outfit is horrible. I know she can do much better.

  11. Queen Maxima's joie de vivre is jumping off the page--she is marvelous in the photos with the children. Her outfit is...awful. The fabrics clash to me--it is almost as if she is wearing a top and bottom from 2 different outfits--then there's the bulk of way too much fabric.

  12. If there's one royal who can pull off these quirky Natan outfits, it's Maxima (and sometimes Mathilde with some outfits). The clothes may not be to most people's taste or style by far, but her height, confidence, and smile make them work, and I love that she pushes the bar. There's no 'same old same old' with her clothing style, and I appreciate that.

  13. It is not because many do not like Natan's creations that the house doesn't have many clients. They sell clothes to other royals than Queen Mathilde and Queen Maxima. They also have clients among female ministers and lower aristocrats and cvilians. The creation you see here is an old one. Natan already made wide pants (especially for evening outfits) before it was fashion everywhere. Not everyone can wear his creations. A short lady cannot wear clothes like this. Wearing 2 different patterns together has been fashion quite a while ago, you like it or you don't. Queen Maxima is not afraid to take out of her dressing room an old ensemble and wear it again and she is not the only royal who is doing that.

  14. The hair, a messy mess of tangles is the first thing I see. You can dress anyway you want, and if the hair continues to be the main focus, no one will ever see the beautiful smile under the mess on the head. Such a shame, she has the money and time and people on hand to help her.

She is not the only royal lady you can put under that category. The only difference is that the other(s) is(are) applauded and that Queen Maxima is getting all the critics. By the way how could you know how she is organizing the daily houshold ? Yes she has people to help her, yes she has the money but she has not the time like other royal ladies. She is the hardest working queen in Europe. Regularly two visits on the same day. Several visits in one week. Her work for the UN, not to forget. Her involvement in the financial projects in the Netherlands and worldwide. She has a personnel assistant and a secretary to help her yes, but she a boss that undertake a lot of duties and she also has her private life, husband, children like in any family where mother has an important job too.
I wouldn't change place with her, even if they offered me a very big salary.
