On November 5, the Children's Aid Foundation (Børnehjælpsdagen) held an award ceremony at Copenhagen City Hall. Queen Mary of Denmark, patron of Children’s Aid Day, presented the honorary awards to this year’s recipients, Eva Riedel and Kevin Pedersen. Each award includes 10,000 DKK and a 'Lillebror' canvas created by Romero Britto. The Children’s Aid Foundation works to empower children and young people living in care in Denmark, giving them the best opportunities for a good and independent life.
The style of her outfit is becoming a bit boring. Always the same silhouet. Weird blouse. The color of her hair is lovely. The shoes are very original.
DeleteI love the colours of Marys ensemble, and the shoes go well with it too.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the jacket fastens together and if so, if it should be worn fastened, because to me, it looks a bit awkward to open apart while wearing a belt on top of the jacket, such as in the first photo where she is waving with arm raised.
In any case, she looks smart and I love the cause she is supporting.

This type of jackets doesn't have buttons or a zipper. You are supposed to wear it open or like the queen wears it with a belt in the waist. Sometimes we see models wearing trenches unbuttoned but with a belt fastened in the waist to keep the whole thing together.
DeleteLovely and elegant,
ReplyDeleteI like this outfit: this is the way she dressed in the beginning of her marriage. The only thing I dislike is the collar of the blouse. But the outfit is very elegant.
ReplyDeleteAnd are those shoes with leopard print? LOVE!!
Damsel Dragonfly
Mary didn't wear these sky high stilettos in the beginning of her marriage. They came later on, and it was in particular Christian Louboutin, which she ditches later.
DeleteYes it is a particular Mary style, yes! Particularly the way she knots a belt. Not at all boring, but classically Mary. I wish Mary would try slightly lower or chunkier heels as I don’t think so high looks good and also, terrible for feet. Would love to see the same outfit with a Letizia kitten heel! - Grace
ReplyDeleteI like what Mary is wearing. Mary
ReplyDeleteI think the same, Damsel Dragonfly.
ReplyDeleteLovely look from Queen Mary today. I love her belted jacket and those leopard print heels. I am also glad she gone with a slightly off-center part for her hair--it is so flattering and so much better than the dead-center part she's been wearing for quite some time. She looks marvelous here.

I’m guessing Wueen Mary has had these items for a while. But she can put together her older items, and jazz them to look fresh and modern. Her choice of shoe, does just that. I love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteLowri
She looks ver elegant. The blouse is pretty, love the colour.
