On November 21, 2024, Queen Camilla, Vice-Patron of the Royal Commonwealth Society, hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for the winners and runners-up of The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2024. The competition, organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) since 1883, is the world’s oldest writing competition for schools.
For 2024, the competition theme was ‘Our Common Wealth’. A record-breaking 34,939 children from across the Commonwealth entered this year’s competition, with winners and runners-up coming from Malaysia, Singapore, and Uganda. The Queen presented certificates to them during the event.
At the end of the reception, the Queen watched a performance by Ngāti Rānana London Māori Club. Ngāti Rānana, whose members hail from New Zealand, was invited to perform at The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2024 Award Ceremony in celebration of the Queen’s recent visit to the Pacific.
This is a pretty green outfit. I'm not sure what type of brooch she is wearing, but its perfect with this dress.
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks good. The green suits her and it looks very festive and appropriate for the season. She looks very relaxed around people, too, I like that.

Like the green dress but sad to see the boots reappearing for an indoor function.
ReplyDeleteHer signature look very nice colour green. Must be getting chilly the boots are back
ReplyDeleteNo fashion surprises from Camilla.
DeleteThose boots are ugly.
I hope she is enjoying good health again.
I really like this dress also the color. Camilla is busy again after being ill. Hope she is feeling fine again.

She is doing great!
ReplyDeleteOh, and the green dress is good too!
Good color. But that's about it. The dress is too long and the shoulders too wide and too high as usual.
ReplyDeleteThe eternal boots make the dress look heavy and dowdy, the look would be much fresher with suitable pumps.

Très jolie robe verte mais pour cette réception au palais de Buckingham, il me semble que le port de chaussures aurait mieux convenu !
ReplyDeleteThe best queen we could have!
ReplyDeleteBecause of her fashion?
Delete14:23, yes she seems to do a very good job, cheerfully, hardworking and I particularly like seeing her in “at home “ events where she seems to create an intimate and approachable atmosphere for her visitors. Regarding boots plus dress, why not?; it’s a cosy thing to wear a longer hemline dress or skirt with boots. Whereas the cost of the coronation has drawn outrage, Camilla keeps her shoe budget seemingly low and that’s a good thing I think. - Grace
