On November 22, the Grimaldi Forum welcomed all the students of Cours Préparatoire (CP) of Monaco (310 children) for a morning of awareness raising on drowning prevention, in the presence of Princess Charlene of Monaco. Through short sessions led by various partners, the children gained essential knowledge about drowning prevention, explored emergency equipment used in accidents, and learned lifesaving first aid techniques.
The initiative was organized by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation in collaboration with the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports (DENJS), Monaco City Hall, the Monaco Red Cross, the Maritime and Airport Police Division, the Monaco Fire Brigade, and the Monaco Academy of the Sea.
On November 21, 2024, Princess Charlene of Monaco, President of the Monaco Rugby Federation, officially presented the jerseys of the Principality's U16 rugby team. These jerseys were designed through a competition open to students at Collège Charles III. These jerseys will be worn by the Monaco U16 national team (ages 14-15), which will accompany the Impis and the Monegasque national team at the rugby sevens tournament in Dubai.
Its great to see her at these type of events, she really shines. Love both her jackets, she looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteCharlene's outfits here are smashing and she looks radiant!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Charlene looks better than ever! It’s great to watch her shine and enjoy the charities she supports. MR
ReplyDeleteShe looks so fabulous these days, her eyes are shining again.
ReplyDeleteSimply fabulous.... Love both the jackets.
DeleteChecked the price of the cropped jacket EUR3250. She looks fine in it but I think in the lower photo of the model it looks unattractive. The outer leather jacket is EUR5000+ which she looks great in … so total EUR8000+ of leather jackets on to visit with kids. Always interesting to look at this with Charlene’s fashion, as according to UFO No More she spends a huge amount more than any other royal on clothes. Cf with Letizia wearing Spanish high street designs! - Grace
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteOut of touch with reality.
DeleteBoth jackets were worn previously, the dark one on numerous occasions.
Delete@Grace About the last part of your comment- be careful with those assumptions: we don't know if they actually own or bought everything they wear. And even if they bought it, we don't know for what price. UFO No More just lists the worth of the clothes they wore, not the actual budget that was spent on clothes. Some outfits might have been loaned out, some might have been given, some might have been bought on their private means (and we never know how much they actually had to pay).
DeleteSo your comment is about Charlene having worn the most expensive wardrobe last year, without confirmation if she actually spent the full price on every single item.
@grace 11:20 is it fair to compare Spain and Monaco in that way? Monaco might be one of the richest countries of our royal ladies. So the kids she's visiting here might be wearing clothes that are worth more than our own entire closet ;-) Maybe both Letizia and Charlene are wearing stuff in the price range that is considered normal or acceptable for their country?
DeleteGreat to see her smile.
ReplyDeleteLe cuir va superbement bien à Charlène que ce soit en couleur camel que marron foncé ; j'adore !
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteCharlene you are glowing again. I'm so glad. 💕
ReplyDeletePrincess Charlene is becoming a very significant presence on the world stage. At the beauty shop, I'm seeing photos of her in a variety of magazines. This is the first time I've seen an event publicized on drowning prevention. That is something that has touched many lives. On my street, years ago, a toddler drowned in the family's backyard pool. I've never forgotten it.
ReplyDeletePresent at the "world stage" ? of Monaco you mean. What is she doing ? Being present at Monaco's yearly events. A bit of charity, being president of some National sports clubs, distributing prizes, the drowning prevention project;.... That is about it. You never see her representing international organizations like Child Focus, Unicef, the emancipation and protection of women worldwide, .... There are so many things a princess or queen can do. Their presence on the world stage makes the difference.
Deleteno anonymous 18:10 every event is worthy small or large, if just one life has been saved she has succeeded and a parent will not have to grieve for the loss of their dear, dear child. A friend of mine is the lifeguard at an exclusive country club and saved 3 children in one season, is that not nothing, get your priorities in order, look what Prince Albert does as well and you are a mean spirited person I must say!
DeleteFitzhugh, I appreciate those of us who’ve been here for a very long time, well before Meghan dated Harry and Instagram and the changing readership and the recent rise of anonymouses and sometimes, meanness, here. I appreciate anyone who asks others to desist from criticising other commenter’s reasonable comments and helps reset the respectful tone we once had. Thank you to each of you who speak up. If we discuss kindly with each other and kindly about the royals here, it’s such a fun place to visit! - Grace

DeleteIt was my answer to Joann. She said "Princess Charlene is very significant present on the world stage" . I am sorry but she is not. I never said her work was useless and I applaud her project concerning the drowning prevention project. But her work is not as big as some are trying to tell us. I was not talking about Prince Albert (you did), just about Princess Charlene's occupations. You cannot accept my opinion, that is OK with me. I do not accept that you call someone you don't know a mean spirited person.
@anonymous 07:05 did you know that Princess Charlene also helped educate children about water sports in South Africa, that would be considered worldwide do you not think and no I do not know you because you post as anonymous and I will always defend her because she has been through hell with her severe illness that lasted for over 2 years and also it was so sad to watch her suffer so much just trying to fit in and now that she seems to be happy I do not like someone to put her down because I use to be picked on until I blossomed and the world was mine. I will also say that I wish more men would post comments or maybe they do but post as anonymous as you do. Someone once took a dig at me and said this blog was mainly for men and I reminded her that some of the most famous and influential designers are men. Now I am going to shut my damn mouth. I will say one more thing and that is I always enjoy your comments Grace because you see both sides!
DeleteFitzhugh, what is the point. You can dream your dream - and why not? But do not not expect others to follow you ;)

DeleteDo you realize that the majority of those who sign their messages are nicknames. What is the difference of signing anonymous or with a nickname that can't tell you anything about your correspondent ? If all the anonymous are banned from this blog, there was only a little amount of people left to discuss fashion of the royals. Maybe you should try to create a blog yourself and ask people to give a proof of their real identity. I don't think you would have a lot of candidates.
Great photos. Not a fan of the hair in a bun. She looked so chic with her platinum pixie and really wore it well. I’d love to see her go back to a pixie as she is perfect for it and it’s more stylish.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Very chic and she stood out.
DeleteLovely Princess Charlene.
ReplyDeleteAda
Both the jackets are gorgeous. But I love the rich brown color of the Kiton jacket.
ReplyDeleteHSH truly at her happiest when she combines events with children and sport.
Lowri.
Nice look for Charlene. Around children she just beams. Love to see her this way.

For Fitzhugh - Thank you so much for pointing out Princess Charlene's work in South Africa. I also thank you for defending someone who has been through a horrible period in her life. I, myself, think it is an act of compassion to offer encouragement to those who are trying to move past difficult times. On another matter, It is has been brought up on this board that I used the word "significant" in the wrong context as relates to Charlene's place in the world community. I was thinking more in terms of her rise in her personal profile. For example, she has been featured in People magazine many times. This magazine is sold worldwide by mail and there is an international edition published in Greece. Of course, it is very popular in the U.S. There Charlene talked about raising twins, her medical treatment and her return to public life as well as many other topics. Anyway, It's the media who decides who is or who is not on the world stage. And we can't forget it was Grace Kelly who actually brought Monaco into the worldwide spotlight. It was the force of her personality and celebrity that captured the world's attention. Charity work was barely mentioned, if at all.
ReplyDeleteWekk Charlene is a (very) rich man's wife and that is a fact.
DeletePeople magazin, really??
