On November 1, 2024, Anne, Princess Royal visited Strathcarron Hospice in Fankerton, Scotland, to speak with staff, volunteers, supporters, and patients. In Strathcarron's 43-year history, the Princess has visited the Hospice 37 times since its first anniversary in 1982. As part of her visit, the Princess was given a presentation by staff on the Hospice’s two ongoing projects in partnership with Glenochil Prison, focusing on frailty and bereavement.

The hospice was established in 1981 by Dr. Harold Lyon and friends, and cares for patients with an active, life-limiting disease. All their services are free and are provided when and where they are needed. It relies heavily on volunteers and fundraising to provide its service.

I like this suit, especially the colour. The workmanship is excellent, just look at the pattern lines lining up perfectly on the side seams and the collar. And of course she is wearing lipstick that brightens her face.

  2. This is a good quality suit, I love it. The addition of the colorful silk scarf a lovely concept. The fit of the suit looks great. Lovely presentation.

    1. We'll see whether this post will stay; I recently posted something similarly, it didn't stay. Wait & see.
By the way I didn't mean that SHE is boring, only her style. She can be a joyful and friendly person, with many other qualities.
Being "good quality" is surely a plus, however not sufficient to make it attractive. A friend of mine use to say : life is too short to miss opportunities to appear "adapted to your time".

I think that is her plan. She spotlights the cause, not herself.

Her very presence is the wow factor, she is Princess Royal.

      A rude unnecessary comment.

Princess Anne's blazer is lovely and fits well. Unfortunately that is the only positive thing of her outfit. The skirt has no shape and her shoes are as old fashion as those of the Japanese ladies at the Imperial court. Her hair looks like straw as usual and if she must wear gloves she could have worn a black paire instead of navy. Her tights are too white.

Exquisitely made ( love the 6 buttons double-breasted) but also a bit colourless.

"She spotlights the cause, not herself" in that case she is on the wrong blog. This is a fashion blog and we are allowed to speak about the outfits of the royal ladies. The fact that she is a Princess Royal is not a title that is given in other countries on daughters of the reigning queen/king. Also something that has nothing to do with fashion. To me it is not more important that she is on this blog than another princess of another royal house.

Sorry. What is your point exactly?

    2. You know, Anon 22:50, me too. I don't understand what she (or he) is saying.
But then that's quite normal for me.

Beautiful and traditional suit for the Princess Royal. Perfectly fitted and I love the pop of color from Princess Anne's scarf. It's wonderful to see her out and about--as always bringing attention to a worthy cause.

  9. C'est tout à fait son style de costume mais avec ces chaussures plates, son allure aurait été bien meilleure avec quelques centimètres en moins !

Lovely to see the Princess Royal working hard, spot-lighting causes and increasing awareness to the work being done to aid in the hospice care of those in need. I find it refreshing that Princess Anne continues to work at her age, attending more engagements every year, more than the rest of the royals. She is like her Mum in that sense, dedicated to her duties without fuss or bother. Comments on the 'straw' hair are silly. Each of us is given their own set of genes and she works with what she was gifted. Her sense of duty, sense of humor, quick wit, intelligence, and most of all her caring nature. Over the years, her down to earth re-wearing of outfits, yet always finding something current in style to uplift a basic outfit, is interesting to view from afar. Gives the rest of hope that we too can be as gracious as she is, as steadfast, and energetic at her age.

  13. I really like some of the newer suits and jackets the Princess Royal has added to her wardrobe. Consistently well tailored and fitted. I like how the scarf pulls in the colors of the gloves and sweater (and poppy).
