Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, turns 21 today. Born on 8 November 2003, Louise is currently studying English Literature at St Andrews University. King Charles and Queen Camilla shared a congratulatory message to mark the occasion, accompanied by a photo of Lady Louise carriage driving at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May. Louise occasionally joins her parents at official events and attends royal celebrations such as Trooping the Colour.

ReplyDeleteHuh?
DeleteA beautiful English rose, yes. Studying English literature. One could think about the fact: Is this enough to face the future nowadays ? A quite English life is the future she expects probably. I hope for her it will be enough if she is growing older. There might be a time that more and more royals will have to work instead of receiving money for leading a comfortable life without doing much effort. In many countries royals are working for many years already (The Netherlands) since the royal houses are shrunken more and more (Belgium, Denmark,...) Maybe in the future if the Royal families will continue to survive they'll have to consider that possibility everywhere.
ReplyDeleteCorrection : I meant "a quiet English life" not "quite".
Deletethey do well in their own right. they have generational wealth and assets. the taxpayer needs them more than they need the taxpayer.
