On November 7, 2024, at the Castle of Laeken, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium received the Belgian athletes who participated in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, along with the medal winners from European or World Championships in Olympic or Paralympic disciplines. The Belgian referees who took part in the Olympic Games were also present at the reception.
Lovely dress (style and fit), lovely Mathilde.

This colour looks great on her!
ReplyDeleteI would have preferred the skirt-part to be a pencil-skirt-style (like the teal one she wore earlier) but that's just a minor detail imo
Belle silhouette de Mathilde dans cette robe ; magnifiques bijoux dont particulièrement la broche originale !
ReplyDeleteThe color of the dress is divine! I love the fact the skirt of her dress has some movement. This dress suits her well.
ReplyDeleteThe accessory color is a good choice. Her brooch is unusual, I like it, the color of the stones drawing out the color and , blending well with her dress.
Queen Mathilde looks marvelous here--the color, fit, and style are great. I usually complain such a wide belt doesn't work for her but, in this case, I cannot complain--it's a lovely choice. The brooch is beautiful and works perfectly with her dress.

In the third snapshot, she resembles Jacqueline Kennedy.
ReplyDeleteHa, fully agree! Didn’t see that until now.
DeleteHow can se resemble Jacky Kennedy ? Jacky had dark brown hair a large mouth and full lips. The shape of her eyes was different too.
DeleteI love the color and the fit.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
The Q looks lovely. This dress is not overdone just right.

I really like the colour of the dress and the shape of the skirt. Not sure about the neckline. A lower round neck or a boat neckline might have been better

This is a no from me. The colour washes her out and the belt is just not really accentuating her waist as it should. The jewels get a bonus point, though.
