King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the activities of the World Childhood Foundation in São Paulo, Brazil. Together with Childhood Brazil, the King and Queen visited the Adriana Missae Momma Early Childhood Education Center. The Queen is the founder and honorary chair of the World Childhood Foundation, an organization that works to prevent sexual abuse against children. Today, Childhood operates in around ten countries worldwide.
The King and Queen also visited São Manuel, where they were welcomed by Mayor Ricardo Salaro. São Manuel is the hometown of Queen Silvia's mother, Alice de Toledo Sommerlath. Silvia's parents married in Brazil in 1925, then moved to Germany in 1938. The family returned to Brazil in 1947, where they lived for the following decade.
The King and Queen first visited Pousada da Colina, a long-term care institution for the elderly. They then visited the Igreja Matriz, an important religious and architectural landmark, followed by the "Manoel da Nóbrega" Historical and Pedagogical Museum, where they viewed historical photographs of the Queen’s great-grandfather.

ReplyDeleteHer real colour is most likely gray or white or mix .Perhaps this lighter shade is to help transition to her natural hair colour.
DeleteI like to think that her real colour is her original black/dark brown, even though her hair probably would be almost totally gray nowadays. I think it's easier for a blonde woman to gradually become gray than it is for those with darker hair. The change is not as dramatic for blondes. So, nothing wrong with dying your hair, if you feel more like yourself that way.

ReplyDeleteVery nice style of dress and colour for the queen. The kings suit coordinates well with the queens dress. She seems to be taking the lead on this trip and the king seems comfortable just following along.

ReplyDeleteI do not why but Queen Silvia looks so much younger in that coral dress. It suits her perfectly. It is not matronly. A very good outfit.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing immediately--I think the coral color glows her up. It's bright, flattering, and suits her complexion beautifully. While her suit is beautiful the color is bland doesn't add anything for her. Janet
DeleteSuch lovely outfits from Queen Silvia. The suit is elegant but that coral pink dress is smashing on her. I feel like it makes her shine and glow. She and KCG look great here.
