On Paralympic Day, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the Rehazenter Center in Kirchberg. The couple observed various demonstrations of adaptive sports, including fencing, para-cycling, basketball, sitting volleyball, table tennis, and judo for the visually impaired. These inclusive workshops, which bring together athletes with and without disabilities, aim to showcase the diversity of para-sport opportunities and to inspire new participants. Grand Duke Henri serves as the honorary president of the Luxembourg Paralympic Committee.

Quite informal and appropriate for the event. But I don't know if I like it or not.
ReplyDeleteMaria Teresa looking fit and joyful in a relaxed elegant way. I imagine it’s such a buzz for any organisation to have her visit as she conveys such positivity and care. - Grace
DeleteLooks like the European royals are following Prince William 's new casual wear. I like it but not for reigning monarchs.
DeleteIl est très rare de voir Maria Teresa dans un ensemble qui lui apporte un look décontracté idéal pour cette occasion !
ReplyDeleteNice look, however the jacket could be a bit shorter more in proportion to her size. Lovely smile
ReplyDeleteHer petite stature gets in they way of this complete outfit. The jacket looks too long on her, and I suspect it is not a petite cut. I really think she goes wrong more often than not by buying clothes that are not cut for short women. I like the idea of the outfit, however. It looks professional and the sneakers make it work for this visit.
ReplyDeleteGrand Duchess Maria is looking happy and relaxed - very beautiful.

I do like this casual look for Maria Theresa--a simple look for an occasion when there was going to be physical activity. I also like that she followed through with white sneakers. The one issue I have is the jacket looks to be too large for her. I think one of the problems she has is that she doesn't have her clothes fitted for her petite stature--and she needs to have her clothing tailored for that. I was looking at the jacket and its buttons--the top buttons are too low so that means the whole jacket will be too long. Oh well. She certainly looks like she is having a wonderful time. My but Grand Duke Henri looks so debonaire! I don't know that I have ever seen him so informally dressed on an official occasion. I have always felt that he is a naturally elegant gentleman with a real sense of how to dress--like late Prince Philip.

DeleteWith the difference that Grand Duke Henri's clothes are up-to-date compared to those the English royals are wearing. If you followed Grand Duke Henri since his youth you should know that he oftten has been dressed like today. During his spare time he is always wearing sporty outfits, during the Olympic games in Paris he wore the same outfit like the athletes, during his holidays with his children and grand children he is always wearing good looking sports gear. Why always compair other royals with the British ones ? They are not always the standard for good taste. There are a lot of good tailors everywhere now (certainly if you look at the old used suits King Charles is still wearing).
As already mentioned the jacket I agree is a bit too long. Apart from that, I think she looks really great . Also appropriately dressed for the occasion. The Grand Duke looks well attired and dressed for the occasion. He always looks good.
ReplyDeleteMust say MT looks great.
