Queen Mary departed from Sydney with her children to return home after a one-week trip to Australia. She was accompanied by her twins, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent. Queen Mary arrived in Hobart last week to attend her niece's wedding, went to Sydney for a short vacation immediately after the wedding, before setting off to return home on Thursday.
Such a cute outfit on the aueen.
ReplyDeleteSpelling error Queen
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, no coverage/photos of Duchess Sophie or any of the other royals.
ReplyDeleteLast week was a holiday week in schools in Europe. Also the grown ups took a week vacation (Autumn break) when they could. Most of the European royal families took a week vacation to visit family abroad or to go to their villa's in Greece (King W.A. & Q. Maxima) This has been confirmed by the Dutch press., in France (K. Philippe & Q. Mathilde) maybe. There was a rumour that Q. Mathilde went to the US to meet her daughter CP Elisabeth on her 23rd birthday. (Nobody knows for sure). Next week Q. Mathilde has 3 visits on her agenda. Except for Q. Mary because of the pictures, I don't have any information concerning the other royal families.
DeleteWell, "holiday week in europe", there is no such thing. For example in germany in every Bundesland there are different holidays. We don't holiday all together...
DeleteFamily holiday photos should not be posted on the blog, they only encourage paparazzi invasion of privacy
DeleteWe rarely see any photos (unless planned in agreement with the press) of the vacations of most other royals. Even rarer are casual and candid shots that we usually see from the Danish royals. Seems privacy can be maintained if it’s really desired?
DeleteQueen Mary looks good in her casual clothes.
ReplyDeleteIts lovely she was able to have a nice break away, back home.
We love you Mary;she is also a great Ambassador for Australia.Fashion always great (Tara)
ReplyDeleteI just l-o-v-e Queen Mary’s jeans.
ReplyDeleteShe’s a “super-cool” Queen.
Donot think the wide top on the wide jeans is a good combination
ReplyDeleteIt certainly doesn't. I don't understand how Mary is looked up to fashion wise. A Danish stylist once said that when she didn't dress for public occasions she got it all wrong. But same stylist has probably been silenced since.
DeleteI think we shouldn't comment on the fashion of royals who are obviously at a private event. I wouldn't like it either if photographers were watching my every move and then dissecting what I'm wearing in the webbsites (it doesn't matter if it's a compliment or not).
ReplyDeleteAt official events and engagements:yes, let's comment and even criticize their fashion choice - then the royals are practically "at work" and representing with fashion is part of their duties.
Queen Mary is on a private visit to Australia with her two minor children. Why is it even necessary to comment on their outfits?
Stephanie
Stephanie, I desagree. We look at the pictures here and comment on them if we want. We can't know who took the picture but if Helen puts it here we can also comment it.
DeleteI think that wide blouse and loose pants are the perfect choice for a long flight back to Denmark. I would like to have that blouse too, it looks so comfortable. The children are also dressed comfortable.
Mary is a public figure and is all about fashion and new clothes almost all the time. She was once known as the 'Fashion Princess' in Denmark, sat in the first row of every fashion show, so I think it's natural to comment on. I am a private person myself, and people throughout my life have commented on my clothes and shoes (even if my pieces were sometimes second hand and not at all in the financial realm of Mary's). Women always get comments and compliments, and especially if they show that they like clothes and fashion.
Delete@Stephanie. Very sensible comment. Common decency has apparently been lost.

I stand by my opinion and argue for the right to privacy for everyone. even for members of the royal family. Regular debaters on this website know that I am not afraid to express both praise and criticism about outfits, for which I have been attacked more than once. Well, posting a photo of underage royal children from a PRIVATE event is completely out of line for me.
Stephanie
Totally agree Stephanie. The rich and famous still need holidays and time away. How awful to be prepping for a long flight and still being photographed and commented on. No more paparazzi pictures here please- Grace
DeleteStephanie, you really have a point here!
DeleteIf it’s a private event why are the press getting any pictures at all? Mary is very clever at being in the public eye. Doesn’t seem she’s all that concerned about being private.
DeleteI love the lace pattern of Mary’s blouse but not so much the puffy sleeves…just never liked puffy sleeves. The jeans look comfortable. Josie looks pretty and Vincent is very cute.
DeleteI am a simple woman. I see pictures here and I think "why not comment because I feel so and they look so nice". But then I realize that it was all wrong 😳. Oh Helen please! Why didn't you write: "Please do not comment, it is a private picture".
DeleteBut I still think I didn't do anything wrong, I made a nice comment about their clothes and that's it.
I don't need anyone here to patronise me, that was my parents job!
Awful trousers!
ReplyDeleteOops😳 I ❤️ her jeans and I wear these jeans myself
DeleteWhat do you wear for long flights?
DeleteThey are perfect for a 26+ hour flight (yes, 26 hours and more!) to Denmark.
DeleteIn her non-official time she can wear whatever she wants and is comfortable in, just like we all do.
- Anon 9:13
They aren't trousers, they are jeans. They are really cute and fashionable. I can't figure out what you think she should wear. This is her private time and can dress as comfortable and trendy as she pleases. Like Anon 10:55, I wear jeans like this.
DeleteShe is entitled to wear what she wants for all those judging her. We all dress down. She is still beautiful and at that time her focus is her family! Always look at ourselves before judging!
ReplyDeleteYes she is so beautiful and very down to earth ❤️❤️❤️
DeleteI like the blouse but the pants are horrible.
ReplyDeleteFor heaven’s sake, leave her alone!
ReplyDeleteLove Queen Mary's casual, comfortable outfit. The blouse is beautiful. How nice that she was able to take advantage of the break to go back to Australia with Josephine and Vincent. Hopefully they were able to visit with Mary's family too.
ReplyDeleteJanet
She went for her nieces wedding, so yes spent time with family as a normal person
DeleteLe dernier cri à la mode elle connaît.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup le haut blanc mais pas du tout le jean que je trouve un peu trop large !
ReplyDeleteAll australians loves baggy jeans!
ReplyDeleteEven non Australians…they are comfortable!
DeleteCompletely untrue that. Think a little more … Populations of 27 million don’t all love one thing eh … particularly where a majority live in hot seasons and states and would rarely wear jeans at all. Why write nonsense?!
DeleteI understood this comment to be an expression of speech. Based on some of the comments, I think wide legged jeans are popular in Australia just as they are in the US. I am being given the impression that they are not as popular in some European countries, though the comments may be coming from people who are not into fashion.
DeleteFor those who have not done long haul flights & believe me I have done it many times as an Australian I can vouch these flights are long therefore anyone can understand the need for comfortable clothing. Mary is an Aussie she knows the go. Well done on her choice of clothing plus the kids. I am sure they enjoyed the great weather we have right now. Mary
ReplyDeleteI am not a jeans fan, but this outfit looks great on her. The pants must be comfortable. The top is lovely. Hope they had a nice time,

Mary is popular on this blog and it is sacrilege to criticize her. That said, that pretty white top is actually too small. Chris L
ReplyDeleteYou are right on both counts. Thanks.
DeleteHardly true! I don't like a lot of what she wears because some of her dresses, for example, are too fussy. I like very simple designs. I hate high necks and ruffles. I think she dresses as she is expected to, in part. When she is more casual, I think she gets it right most often. On that note, her top is not too small. It fits as it is supposed to fit for the design. If it was too small, you would see it in the shoulders first. Maybe you mean to say that you think it is too short for your liking?
DeleteWhat a beautifutl white top wears Mary, just outstanding.
ReplyDeleteI can understand Frederik
ReplyDeleteUnderstand what? 😳
DeleteQueen Mary, IMO, has well chosen her gear for a 25 hour or so flight in a pressurised metal tube also known as a plane.
ReplyDeleteA Dior or Chanel ensemble from their 2024/25 winter range would be a bit OTT, don't you think?
Silly comment. The thing is that this ensemble is unflattering because it makes the wearer short and stumpy.
Delete@Anon 17:07 How do you dress for long haul flights? I don't know of anyone who treats long flights as an opportunity to showcase their wardrobe.
DeleteAll aussiegirls love jeans, we are so down to earth....
