On November 5, 2024, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium made a district visit to the province of Namur. Their first stop was the Materne-Confilux factory in Floreffe, where they toured the production line and met with employees. They then visited Ressourcerie Namuroise in Suarlee, a cooperative with a social mission that employs around one hundred people in the recycling and circular economy sector.

  1. Je pourrais avoir un avis positif pour cet imprimé mais pas du tout pour cette large cape !

    Every detail good!

  3. To me this is not a best choice, the cape is too wide in the bottom part. Colours are ok.

I don’t love the cape either. Perhaps a softer fabric would have draped better and avoided this solid, boxy look. (V.m.)

I love Mathilde's outfit. The red cape minimizes the busy print of the dress, but even then, I quite like the dress on it's own.
Her low shoes are nice, but I think a higher heel would have benefitted this lovely ensemble more (especially in regard to the cape and dress length).

I much prefer the low heel, very pretty. I can see in the last pic she is wearing very high heels, and the lower ones I prefer were for the factory tour (safety I guess…) - Grace

Love this color for Queen Mathilde--it's beautiful for her. The cape is pretty but a bit too stiff and, therefore, oddly wide instead of draping over her. I like that it breaks up the pattern of the dress as it looks a bit overwhelming. I cannot say too much about the dress because I can't see too much of it.

There are better pictures of Queen Mathilde on other sites. Everything she is wearing here is a rewear except for the handbag the "Lady Dior"which was new during the last state visit to France. I have seen her in this cape before in combination with another dress and it looked much better. The cape is designed by Alicia Audrey one of the young designers who works for the house of Natan. Queen Maxima has the same cape in blue or grey.
She changed shoes during the visit, but in the flat ballerina's her feet are looking much wider and with the high heels the whole outfit looks much better.

  8. Sur la dernière photo, la petite fille qui lui offre une rose est trop mignonne !
