The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are making a four-day visit to Malta to mark the 60th anniversary of Malta’s independence and celebrate the country’s shared heritage and continuing collaboration with the UK. On the evening of the first day of their visit to Malta, the Duke and Duchess attended a Commonwealth reception at Whitehall Mansions, the Residence of the British High Commissioner in Ta' Xbiex, where they met local dignitaries, Commonwealth Points of Light Award Winners, and Young Leaders.

ReplyDeleteI really like this look. Her hairdo is lovely and her make-up slightly more pronounced for a great evening look. I like the fit of the dress and the slightly shorter length of the dress.

DeleteI am on the fence about the pattern in this dress but I do think that the hemline is good for a change.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not a fan of Erdem and don't like red flowers on a black ground, I must say this dress suits Duchess Sophie very well. Probably because of :

I have never been a fan of large floral prints. They are too overwhelming on everyone. This dress is no exception. It's not aesthetically pleasing and hard on the eyes. The only purpose it serves is to make one stand out in a crowd and not in a good way.
ReplyDeleteThis is a complete turn around from her last dress. Of course the length is lovely. She looks so much younger than when in her frumpy, longer dresses. The bold floral print is so much better than ditsy floral prints. I really love the print and the colors. That being said, I don't think the colors are the best on Sophie for her skin and hair color, but I will take this over her usual look.

ReplyDeleteThis is definitely one of Sophies better looks compared to some of her recent outfits. It's bit of a statement look, and it's nice to see her in something different for a change.

ReplyDeleteHer makeup looks good, natural and shows off her beauty, naturally. Up style hair, splendid. The subtle necklace is a welcome addition. I like the dress, she looks lovely, the red shoes work in well. Overall she looks divine !
