  1. Uhm...interesting looks from the Spanish ladies. Queen Letizia looks fabulous. I love the idea of Leonor's skirt but it is not flattering on her--the fabric either has crinolines or is too stiff. She looks beautiful because she is so beautiful--and that black top is absolutely perfect to frame her face and hair. Sophia--I hate to say it but this dress does nothing for her. This long column, even with the ruching, is not working for her. And her shoes aren't helping--I get the feeling she is self-conscious about her height. I will say that I love the soft waves and curls in her hair and she looks lovely otherwise--the more glamorous evening make up highlights how beautiful she is. She's young and I can completely understand her choice but it just not the best for her. When she gets a bit older and gets a better understanding what looks good on her she is going to be stunning.

    1. this year is a downgrade, they dressed better in previous years.
Sofia needs to wear heels, atleast kitten heels.

  2. I agree. Sophia’s dress had it been less slinging for such a long length would of looked nicer. A little flair at the waist would of made all the difference.

  5. Oh my! Poor girls. They just look awful in their clothes today. Lovely girls though. Also looking at their mother I wonder if she has had plastic surgery on her face recently.

  6. The Queen looks fabulous, the Navy blue gown/dress is simply beautiful, she looks gorgeous. The gold accessories look stunning.

  7. Not very flattering outfit for beautiful Leonor. Letizia looks great.

  8. Leonore puts her mother in her shadow with her ballet skirt: she looks lovely.
Letizia wears a good dress as does Sophia. Alas the ballerina’s donot match and spoil the slender dress.

  9. Superbe Letizia
Cette robe est magnifique dans la sobriété . Leonor est une tres belle personne. Je n'adhère pas trop à sa jupe..Sofia on dirait un sac

  10. Queen Letizia is looking good in her new dress. It is a style that suits her. The accessories are perfect too. If only the dress was a little shorter, but since it is an evenening event she can have the length like it is.
CP Leonor on the other hand did not made a good choice this time. The top tucked into the skirt is not a good idea. She could have worn a short top that covers the waistline of the skirt. Like it is styled now the waistline is too high and the whole outfit is not looking good. Her hair and make-up are beautiful like always. Infanta Sofia : A long column dress on a long girl is not the best choice. Neither are the flat ballerina's. If the dress was made a bit shorter and she would wear a pair of kitten heels, it would look much better. Her very red lipstick is not a good idea either, a softer color like her sister Leonor is wearing is much better for a young lady.

  11. QL with all her cosmetic procedures looks more and more like MJ.
And with the years and because she is so thin she looks only older.
The princesses have luckily a healthy weight and looking so much more better in their skin !
Fashion-wise they make there own choices which I applaud.

    2. Hi Anna, with the years we are all looking older of course!?… but yes many many cosmetic changes can eventually make someone look even older. I find Letizia very beautiful anyway, but always wish famous people didn’t feel the pressure/need for cosmetic/surgical changes because I love natural beauty more. Letizia’s vibrancy and sparkle still shine through, and I can’t really imaging the immensity of pressure the Royal ladies may feel when so many pictures are taken of them everywhere they go! - Grace

    7. @Archard62 I can answer your question. MJ is Michael Jackson, who was infamous for his possible addiction to cosmetic surgery. Comparing Letizia to Michael Jackson is terribly mean and cruel. Michael Jackson was unrecognizable after years of procedures. Letizia looks "fresher". No matter what she may have done in the way of cosmetic procedures, there is no comparison. It was widely reported that she had a rhinoplasty (nose job) to correct a breathing problem. She lives a very healthy lifestyle, and looks like she takes excellent care of her skin, as many women do these days. That accounts for a lot. With the blunt way strangers have of destroying a woman's appearance, especially well known women, I would probably feel compelled to make small tweaks as well. It can't be easy to tolerate constant criticism. We see many insensitive comments made about the women featured on this blog, and this is just a small example.

    8. Wow imagine if this was a comment about Meghan, people would go nuts…Anna seems to have a odd way of expressing her self, yet Letizia looks better and better with age. Anna might take a tip or two from Letizia, and maybe might maybe feel better about her self in order to avoide these types of comments in the future.

  14. Q. Letizia looks gorgeous. Beautiful hair and face and that simple elegant dress is just stunning. P. Leonor is so pretty and I love her skirt. I agree with previous posters that P. Sofia could use a stylist's help with her black dress, just a little plain and forgettable.

  15. Uh, they all look beautiful, but Leonor's outfit really doesn't flatter her waistline, she looks larger in it. However Sofia and the Queen are both gorgeous.

    1. And why looking larger when you are thin is an issue? She looks nice in the skirt and it is a different look

    2. I agree about how the skirt makes Leonor's waistline look. Not a good idea.

  16. Queen Letizia looks perfect. Love the shoes, very elegant. The Princess of Astúrias looks very good, romantic and fresh. Sofia is a lovely, delicate sister of a future Queen to be. Letizia's hard work as a royal mother is there for everyone to see.

  17. Letizia looks good, but I miss a brooch that would make the look much more interesting. Same with Sofia. The dress is not that bad, but the look is very simple, plain and boring. A belt, earrings and bracelet would make everything better. The biggest problem is Leonor. The skirt and top are completely at odds. A gray or silver blouse and a lower waist could perhaps save this look.

    1. I agree that a belt, bracelet or something of interest on Sophia would make the world of difference. Break up the long column

  18. Queen Letizia does not wear brooches.

    1. For the most part, brooches are an old lady look. When the younger royals wear them, I think it has a lot to do with some symbolism for the event they are attending, or paying homage to something or someone.

  22. Does QL not have the time to guide her daughters regarding the best styles for them, or is she too busy trying to look younger? I am not trying to be nasty, but that skirt on Princess Lenore adds 20 lbs to her hips. With Princess Sophia, she is tall, not at all curvy, has beautiful, but unstyled, long hair, wearing a shapeless dress, and flat shoes....with the Princesses looking this way, of course the Queen shines! My own mother put me in front of the mirror more than once, and had me re-assess my outfit! Uba

    1. I don't think the skirt adds anything. Princess Leonor is just naturally a bit curvy as shown on many pictures.

  23. Relooking at the photos I am thinking Leonore’s skirt would look nice on Sophia. She is longer waisted than her sister. This tuelle net skirt is very in right now.

  24. Q Letizia looks fantastic. Leonore's outfit is interesting, but a bit out of place. Sofia looks nice too.
