  1. Red is certainly QLetitia’s colour and the combination with the tan trench coat is excellent. I was surprised by the cut out at the back of the dress, and I’m not sure that it adds anything to the overall look. P. Leonor looks very poised and confident in her uniform. (V.M.)

    1. I agree. The cutout is distracting and doesn't add anything to the entire look of the dress.

  3. This is a beautiful red dress, it flows well, the skirt has plenty of swish and movement. Overall very feminine. Her coat, I love! The diamond and ruby drop earrings are the perfect choice.

  5. Would anyone know why the princess did not change out of her uniform as her father did for the indoor reception?

    1. Maybe because she was going directly back to her military training again…just a guess though.

    2. Only the King's privilege to change out of the uniform? (Also, just a guess.)

  7. A lovely red dress for the Queen, this is a great color for Letizia. Leonore looks really good in uniform and decked out in Orden's already. The King always looks good too.

  8. Princess Leonor looks great in uniform and really suits her hair in the elegant chignon. Shame it was raining so that Queen Letizia had to wear the drab coat over the lovely red dress. It's a perfect length with the low heeled shoes. The King always looks good too.

    1. If you see the other photos on other sites which show Letizia and co in the context of the longer line of dignitaries that were spread across the street you see that her coat and red highlights fit in with the overall colour scheme which is formal and military muted colours plus red. Not boring, but apt and deliberate . - Grace
