On October 21, 2024, Queen Rania of Jordan met with a group of young Jordanians from Amman to talk about their income-generating projects, which the Queen had previously supported under a sponsorship scheme. At the meeting, the young people shared details with the Queen about their projects and the professional and vocational skills they gained through youth-led income-generating businesses.
To date, the scheme has supported 190 youth-led projects from across the country, chosen primarily by civil society organizations with assistance from the Jordan River Foundation, that selected a number of these projects through its community empowerment programs.
