On Tuesday afternoon, October 1, Queen Máxima officially opened the new building of the National Ballet Academy (NBA) in Amsterdam. The NBA is an international institution specializing in classical academic dance. This new location brings all students together under one roof. The building features seven large studios, one of which can serve as a theater hall.

The NBA is part of the Academy of Theatre and Dance, which belongs to the Amsterdam University of the Arts. It is the only dance academy in the Netherlands directly affiliated with the Dutch National Ballet. A key component of the NBA is its extensive seven-year preparatory program, where young students, starting from the age of ten, combine their ballet training with primary and secondary education. The school currently has 165 students.

Following several dance performances, Queen Máxima officially opened the National Ballet Academy. Afterwards, the Queen attended a classical ballet class for final-year students and observed a rehearsal of young dancers preparing for their roles. Queen Máxima also engaged in conversations with various students and teachers.

Great look and classic Maxima style from Queen Maxima here. She looks wonderful here--very polished and quite elegant. Interesting combo that sort of olive green with the gray. Very pretty and very feminine. I can't tell if the dress is a little snug across the hips and thighs or if its just wrinkles in the fabric--but she looks so good I'm going to blame the fabric!

Certains tissus se froissent. Pas le cas pour les tissus synthétiques
J adore son manteau cape mais il ne faut pas qu il fasse trop froid, parfait pour la demie saison

  5. She look so good today! The choice of slim skirted dress at the perfect length really accent her legs and the hat is elegant. Love the green and gray combo.

Una bella combinazione il grigio con il verde, ma non capirò mai perché indossare un cappello -così grande poi- al chiuso.

The green dress in shantung silk is by Natan and Queen Maxima wore it for the first time in 2017. I didn't remember the design and thought it didn't hat all the details (a.o. on the neckline) or maybe Queen Maxima has another green dress which ressembles this one. I like the color and the cape, hat and accessories.

  12. Cette couleur va à merveille avec sa blondeur ; pas trop fan de la grandeur du chapeau mais ça lui va fort bien !

Queen Maxima looks lovely here! Funny observation: Perhaps the photos are not in chronological order, but she seems to arrive with both gloves in her hands, and ends with the official photo with the dancers with one glove on and one off.
