Queen Mary of Denmark is making a 3-day official visit to Manaus and Brasília in Brazil. The Queen's visit to Brazil focuses on Danish-Brazilian cooperation in biodiversity, health, and combating violence against women. On the evening of October 2, the Queen was received by the Governor of the state of Amazonas, Wilson Lima, at the Teatro Amazonas, a theater and opera house in the center of Manaus. During the visit, the Queen attended a performance that showcased the cultural history of the Amazon region.

hmm, not the nicest outfit of QM; somehow I feel the individual pieces are 'fighting' each other
ReplyDeletesame here. beautiful pieces but nothing matches
Deleteif only the top was a dark green as the skirt, it would work
DeleteExactly. Both are really good, but not together.
DeleteI agree.
DeleteAgreed. They're very nice but I don't think they all work together the way she was envisioning.
Paloma.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary looks great. Gorgeous blouse and a nice skirt. I like the unusual colour combination. Lovely earrings. I don't think the yellow bag is a great choice. though. There was already enough colour in the outfit.
ReplyDeleteMary looks sensational. The colours scream Brazil. And her fabulous earrings echos that.
ReplyDeleteShe nailed it! Looks ravishing, actually! Hola Brazil! MR
DeleteI love all the pieces individually but not really together. I especially love those gorgeous earrings
ReplyDeleteThat´s one colour too many. Either get rid of the yellow/gold accessories (purse, earrings, shoes), or swap the blouse for a matching dark green or black one. I think the blouse needs to go, although I like what Mary did with the tied ribbon at her waist.
ReplyDeleteThe blouse she is wearing is not the same as the blouse she wears on the last picture with king Frederik. There is a difference in color and in model. Perhaps it is from the same designer.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a lot of contrasting colors on show. Each of them are beautiful on their own merit, but together, seems a little too busy.Even the clutch bag is a differing gold to her sandals.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Os brincos sao de filigrana portuguesa , sao os brincos coração de Viana do Castelo
ReplyDeleteThe deep pink/fuchsia is a lovely color for Mary but the skirt is a big no. Her earrings are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNo, no: Brasile è un paese tropicale che semplicemente non veste questa roba orientale ...😒
ReplyDeleteMary has done this before. She tries to pay tribute to the country by wearing what she thinks is a kind of acknowledgment. It seems misunderstood.
DeleteShe tries yes, but it is not the 1st time she dresses in a style that has nothing to do with the country she is visiting.
DeleteI like most of the individual pieces but the blouse seems to be trying to overpower everything else. I'd suggest using the skirt, earrings and clutch but changing the colors of the blouse and sandals.
ReplyDeleteQ. M. is beautiful in this blouse and skirt!! SO PRETTY!! LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! The fuschia top is beautiful--both style and color. It also looks amazing on Queen Mary. While it's not a color match for the skirt it's a wonderful pairing of jewel tones. The skirt is also beautiful--I love the colors and the pattern. I do agree with others who feel the yellow purse was not a good match and should have been replaced with perhaps a black evening bag/clutch. Mary looks very beautiful here because the color of her blouse is perfect of her skin and hair tones.

I agree with the majority, not the best combination, on one hand the colors make me think of Queen Jetsun, but on the other hand i hear a big no. I wonder if the clutch was a present given during the past days and she wanted to honor the giver.
ReplyDeleteIt might not be so simple as we think, to always meet the expectations.
Luna
I saw her with this clutch before. The best she can do without making to many changes is to wear a clutch in the colors of or her skirt or blouse. The clutch is a sort of yellow silky gold and does not match her sandals nor the rest of her outfit.
DeleteLove both pieces, just not together.

This outfit looks lovely, very elegant. I love the color combination. Her color accessories, is perfect. Love her earrings.
ReplyDeleteHello , Ava.
DeleteHope you' re doing well.
I'm fine.
Yes, I do agree with you.
Everything in Q Mary's outfit reminds me of the beautiful Bhutan Queen somehow.
What a gorgeous and unusual colour combination!
The earrings are to die for.
What really captured my attention, though, are Mary's hair style and makeup.
Her hair colour and waves are glorious.
As for her makeup and for what I can see in these pics , I bet it is the result of an overlapping of different techniques, which is what she needs in such a humid climate.
It looks to be kinda of a balance between fluid and powder products with a subtle professional baking work applied to perfection.
Hugs for you👍👋
P. the original Hello, Lovely to hear from you thank you for your message. I'm well thank you. I'm glad your doing good also. Yes, I love the color combination, its unusual, but Imo it works! I'll confess, I'm not really that good at makeup techniques! Lol! Queen Mary's makeup is always spot on, and her hair is always so well groomed. What an asset she is! Wonderful to see you posting on the blog. Take good care and stay safe. Hugs to you
