On October 10, Princess Sofia of Sweden visited Viktor Rydberg Primary School in Fisksätra, Nacka. The Viktor Rydberg Schools Foundation has been operating schools in the Stockholm area since the early 1990s. Since autumn 2021, the foundation has run a primary school in Fisksätra, Nacka, with approximately 260 students. According to the foundation's tradition, the inauguration takes place a few years after the school opens, and therefore Princess Sofia was invited to officiate the school's inauguration.
Princess Sofia has been failing fashion lately. I remember how elegant she was at the school opening in her hometown of Alvdalen in November 2019. And now... I don't know what's going on with her style.

A very approachable outfit for a school visit. Looks comfy for a growing pregnancy too, but nevertheless elegant. - Grace
DeleteI for one can't see anything wrong with her style. She is not particularly "chic" here but it isn't a gala. Her smile and lovely face are the most important anyway.
DeleteSince they announced their pregnancy, Sofia has been wearing wide clothes. And the birth is far away. She is still slim.

I think it is probably "a la mode" of the day, I see a lot of oversized sweaters, jackets etc in the stores. Whether it is fashionable can be discussed. But I like it on Sofia, she looks relaxed and still dressed.
DeleteVivi - even though she looks slim she might feel swollen. I'm also pregnant and giving birth in February, like her, and I felt very swollen long before my belly started to grow. Then it's very uncomfortable with tight clothes.

DeleteThank you for your explantation.

Oversize fashion has been a trend for fall/winter for years.
DeleteI'm OK with today's rather shapeless outfit due to Sofia's pregnancy--you certainly deserve to be comfortable especially when working. I just wish she would stop wearing a center part. In fact, I wish all of the royal ladies would stop wear a center part. I hate that this severe look that is rarely flattering on anyone is the current fashion. In this instance Sofia's solid black outfit is severe enough. How much nicer it would have been to see her in a ponytail to soften the overall look.

I like the center part. I think sometimes we get used to a style and we don't like when that style changes. We have to balance what is in style with what flatters us. When Princess Diana was still alive, I remember reading that she felt her nose was too big, and that a center part would draw attention to it. Sofia doesn't have any physical feature on her face that would prohibit a center part. While she is young, she should be fashionable.
Delete16.08 S has a high hairline, so centerpart is not good!
DeleteShe looks glowing, very elegant.
ReplyDeleteSorry don't like the outfit at all. Too black and that fringed jacket looks weird. Her hair need trimming.

I agree!
DeleteShe's the prettiest Swedish princess and always looks elegant and comfortable in every occasion.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutly not!
Delete15:33 What the? This was not necessary. Since you went down there, S is at least the only natural beauty in the family ;)
Paloma.
So dull S looks!
ReplyDeleteShe's the perfect counterpart of her sister-in-law Madeleine. With this latest baggy dull outfits, I wouldn't like to be in her shoes...
ReplyDeleteNot keen for this outfit but do like the white coat-jacket.
