  1. Very modern princess Kako in this camel suit, but this oversized model is not really nice on her. I think you need to be much taller.

    1. Elegantly stated.

As I was reading your comment I realised I haven’t seen a single example of an oversized women’s suit that looks lovely. For me a suit is a formal look so it only makes sense to have it well fitted; it’s a weird and hopefully temporary trend that says let’s take a formal fitted timelessly elegant look and make it floppy. - Grace

  3. Oops this suit is lovely but way to big on her.

  4. I mean baggy suits are treading but don't wear your dad's suits!!

  5. Whose suit is she wearing, it’s way too big on her.

  6. Nice neutral color pantsuit, the purse and shoes are also neutral. Nice hint of color in the earrings and the barrette. The suit fits in the shoulders, so while the cut of the rest is big, the fit is right in the shoulders. Chris L.

    1. I noticed that the shoulders fit as well where the rest of the suit is so big on her. the fabric drapes nicely, must be a very delicate wool/silk blend

  7. She is lovely and her earrings and hair clip are very beautiful. But that suit is too large.

  8. I love how "daring" she is to wear an oversized suit which is all the rage right now. Better perhaps to say "was all the rage", because that trend might have faded a little already. Still, for a lady from the Imperial House of Japan she's seems quite the fashionista of the family.

  9. OMG! A modern cut suit! I'm not a fan of them but I am thrilled to see her in something a person of her generation would actually buy and wear. WOW! Go on Girl! :-) She's making headway.

  10. Something I've noticed; she's not just wearing pearls for jewelry all the time. She wears other gems and mentals, etc. Very nice.

  11. I agree with the above comments. While I love that she is wearing something that is more modern, this suit is just swimming on her. If the jacket and pants had been more fitted, she might have looked almost modern. I like the wider legged pants, but the volume should be on top or bottom, not both. Hopefully, she will continue in this direction. With proper tailoring, this could have been a success.

    1. The "swimming on her" *is* the look, or so I've been told by the younger folk. Personally, I'm "old school." I like a well tailored *fitted* suit with good structure. Imo, it just looks more professional and finished.

  12. Once again Kako is trying to stay with trends--this modern type of suit has been trending. I'm still going to cheer her on even when the outfit of choice might not be the best one for her--she is overwhelmed by this way too big for her suit. The suit itself is pretty and I like how she combined the camel suit with her red hair ornament and earrings. I'd love to know how she does it--gets away with her modern touches with the Imperial Fashion Police. She really does have a flair for clothes and fashion--I'd love to see what she wears in her private life.

In the Japanese text was mentionned "Queen Akiko" not "Princess Akiko".

  14. The camel suit is a beautiful color, I love this shade of color. I feel the fit is not great, too large.
