  1. Princess Beatrix looks so good here! Her jacket is beautiful--the embroidery and trim are exquisite. I also love seeing her different hairstyle--the pouffiness is more restrained than her usual big bouffant style. She is also looking so engaged in the portraits--and she looks great with her own. It must be fascinating for her to see her own, her mother's, and her dear friend (Queen Elizabeth II) portrayals in this artistic style.

  2. I love this pantsuit on Q. Bea. It fits well and looks comfortable and appropriate for the event. The portraits (done in 1885) are very flattering and it must be fun for her to see them again. I see a strong resemblance to the current Crown Princess! (V.M.)

  3. This is a fun exhibit! Beatrix's hair looks softer than usual. It is a nice change. I wonder if she changed it because she knew she would be seeing portraits of herself that are decades old, and her hair would have looked the same. Her portraits, along with the other queens portraits, are beautiful.

    1. Former Queen (now Princess) Beatrix her hairstyle has changed since several years. It is not the bouffant hairdo anymore she had when she was still queen. I must say that her hairdresser did a wonderful job this time.

Paloma.

  5. I always like the kinky way the ex queen combines her trousers and shoes.

  6. I think Pss Beatrix has a good sense of the silhouettes that look nice on her and are comfortable. The fabric and detailing of the top and cape/jacket are lovely. The variation in her hairstyle is flattering.

I love Pss Beatrix's engagement at events. Her smile seems truly genuine.
