On October 20, 2024, King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended a service at St. Thomas’s Anglican Church in Sydney. The royal couple was greeted at St. Thomas’s Anglican Church by the archbishop of Sydney, Kanishka Raffel. The King and Queen later attended the New South Wales state Parliament to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Australia’s first legislature. The King and Queen will attend a reception in the national capital, Canberra, on Monday.

  1. So, here you have the much requested hat. This is the official beginning of the visit. The arrival late in the evening/at night the day before did not require wearing a hat, as 1. it was a rather informal arrival ceremony, and 2. hats won't be worn at events past 5 or 6 pm.

    2. Anon 05:04. Really? Never saw a picture of them with a cat. It must surely be "the Cat in the Hat" or the Cat who wore a Hat. Don't let the cat or the hat or both bother you so much.

  3. I have noticed that Queen Camilla invested in a couple of new handbags and shoes lately. King Charles' needs a suit in a smaller size.

  4. Nice mint green coat in her usual style. The hat is another of her favoured shapes and together we have a simple but classy outfit. Hope it sets the tone for the rest of the tour

  6. Super élégants tous les deux - Il n'y a pas à redire mais Camilla porte toujours à ravir ce style de chapeau mais au niveau de la robe-manteau, je l'aurais bien vue dans une couleur unie plus soutenue !

  7. Queen Camilla looks wonderful here! Her coat dress is beautifully fitted and she's wearing one of her great hats. I love the picture of the little girl in pink! She is adorable, doing her best low and sweeping curtsey--it looks as if she has caught the attention of the King and Queen. How I wish we had the next photo--for some reason I feel their majesties recognized her as I believe Camilla is looking and smiling at her.

  11. A disturbance has taken place in the great hall after King Charles finished his speech.

Someone has been heard yelling"you're not my King" and "you destroyed our land" was picked up by microphones.

    1. Hi Mesh.
That woman is one of our federal senators who is always causing some sort of problem.
      Rather embarrassing.
Fortunately security removed her very quickly.

    2. I saw a video of that incident in my digital news paper. It was an Australian senator Lydia Thorpe, who yelled "you're not my king etc... what MESH already said. She also said he committed a genocide and murdered aboriginals, etc....
The incidents happens to all the kings whose ancestors/countries had colonies. Most of the kings these days have been sending or offered during visits to ex-colonies their apologies to the original people of what happened under the reign of their ancestors.

  12. Queen Camilla's hat is too big and King Charles suit is too big especially the jacket. I know the king has been ill and he is probably not completely cured but he could have bought a new suit, he is not exactly poor.
