On October 23, 2024, Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko of Japan attended the 2024 Blue Planet Prize award ceremony in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. The Blue Planet Prize honors individuals and organizations that contribute to solving global environmental issues. This year's two award recipients are Professor Robert Costanza from University College London and Anne Larigauderie, Executive Secretary of IPBES.
Gorgeous kimono from Kiko--and she looks beautiful. I also noticed that the Crown Prince's mustache looks different. I was never a fan of his mustache and have hoped for years he'd shave it off--but whatever he has done, it certainly is a huge improvement.

It may be his moustache has gone white so less prominent.
DeleteAlways nice to see them. Love the Kimono, the only thing this one is a bit blend.

Gorgeous kimono.
ReplyDeleteI never saw a picture of the Imperial Family on a reception with a drink in their hand.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this kimono is made from high quality fabric, but i think the pattern is a little dull. I've seen more colorful kimonos. Anyway, kimonos are always beatiful and interesting.
ReplyDeleteCrown Prince Akishino needs to change his hair style, it does not suit him at all.
