  1. Lovely to see her as usual. I like this suit---though I don't think it's new!--with the red element of the pattern picked out in the sweater or scarf. And I understand that tweed may be a fashionable choice for this autumn anyway. Well done, Princess Anne

Always a pleasure to see a well tailored suit. The pattern lines up perfectly. The princess fits in so well, my lipstick girl

Princess should step in closer to shake hands. That way she and the military officer do not have to bend and appear "stooped". Since she offers her hand first, she should step in. Probably a fascinating tour.

I think the issue here is that the Princess is standing on some sort of laid planking while the man she is shaking hands with is on the grass. Janet

Oh no, she does that all the time when shaking hands. But she is not the only one. There are other royals who are having this habit too. And the fact that she always wear gloves when shaking hands as if she is afraid to catch something from other people.
Her outfit is a bit better this time, probably less old than the other she wore lately. At least her skirt has a better length, but the color of the tights is too light to match the autumn color of her ensemble.

The Princess Royal looks great in this suit! I love it on her. I would also venture that she is having a wonderful time here too--I especially love the picture of the cake cutting--because smiles are all over the place here.

  9. The suit is well made and fits perfectly, classic suit. The red scarf picks up the red of the buttons and in the fabric, clever addition. She looks lovely, great visit.

This is a tweedy, traditional look, a new suit would probably look no different. However, her tights should be opaque, not sure about the colour, and the shoes could be smart lace-ups, perhaps suade, that is how I would pep up the look. I had an aunt who was a genius at giving old clothes a new twist and she always looked terribly chic without ruining her budget.

Good for your aunt. Princess Anne never ruins her clothing budget either. So now and then she deserves a new outfit. She must have saved a lot of money on her clothing budget during all these years. The green ensemble is lovely and looks much younger than the majority of her other clothes. If only she could adapt her tights by wearing a darker natural color and I hope she finds a beautiful pair of new shoes. There is such a big choice of beautiful shoes right now with low heels and soon the boots will appear again. And since she likes to wear gloves all the time she also deserves a couple of beautiful leather gloves filled with a warm lining instead of these cheap looking textile gloves. I have my leather gloves which I wear during Winter since ages, I have a black pair and a brown pair and I wear them from October until March/April depending on how cold it still is.

C'est un joli tailleur qui lui va bien et j'aime l'ajout du foulard rouge.
    Mais je n'aime pas ses chaussures ni ses pieds à 10 h 10 (photo 2) ;-)

Dear No Name 13:46, Agree with you completely, she certainly needs some new outfits and accessories, I am sure King Charles gives her a clothes allowance, I read somewhere that many members of the royal family and the ladies in waiting are given sartorial funds. My aunt was not frugal like Anne, she simply did not have the means to splurge. I once saw a photo of Princess Anne‘s living room and was surprised how worn and dull everything looked.

I saw that picture of her living room too. I was also surprised how worn everything was and lucky on a photo one cannot see every detail, but I had the impression it did not look very fresh either.
