The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visited Northern Ireland to meet members of the community and celebrate their work locally. The Duke and Duchess visited the Ulster Folk Museum in Cultra to hear more about their celebration and preservation of everyday traditions. The museum is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Then, the Duchess visited Emmanuel Church’s Food Pantry. The Duchess also met a group of young people with additional needs, who are receiving support from the Live Life Well-Being Centre.
Lovely to see the duke and Duchess of Gloucester ! Such a sympathetic couple !!
ReplyDeletePeople on this blog have commented how hard working Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh has been for the BRF, but few seem to mention this wonderful, hard working couple (he is 80yo and she is mid-70s) who also perform a full schedule of commitments in support of King Charles and the BRF. I have a greater respect for their effort and always enjoy seeing them out and about. They take a quieter back seat to all the flash, but are always elegant, dignified, and again, hard working.

Agree !!
DeleteWell said, they are a lovely couple
DeleteTotally agree. Personally I am not a fan of most of our royals, but I think the Gloucesters are amazing and at their age work so incredibly hard with no fan fare . LRB
DeleteWell said, Anon 913. Totally agree. I would imagine that they might have expected to reduce their workload but King Charles' slimmed down monarchy has become skeletal and they are loyally working away in his support.
DeleteThe Duchess never disappoints. Her style is impeccable, and she has a stunning figure so she wears her clothes very well. As said before, the Duke and Duchess have a strong work ethic, something you don't see in younger generations of the royals. This is evidenced by the stats that are kept on who carried out the most duties for each year. CP Anne always comes in top of the heap!
DeleteExcellent comment, totally agree.
Deleteagree 100%
DeleteThanks for reminding us.
The Duchess is looking good in both coats. The light beige rain coat is very elegant and the light blue woolen coat looks soft and cosy. Her modern hair cut is beautiful. Sometimes she looks younger than her age and sometimes when she is wearing the wrong clothes she looks so old fashion, but not today.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see pics of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. The Duchess looks immaculate and nicely dressed, as usual.

Always nice to see them. Like the Dss coat. css
ReplyDeleteThe Gloucesters are wonderful--well past what anyone would consider retirement age. They keep working, supporting King and Country, smiling, always gracious and involved, and getting on with the assignment. I am so glad that King Charles rewarded the Duchess for her decades of hard work by making her member of the Order of the Garter. They look great here--the Duchess elegantly attired in the top photo and then more casually attired for the other events on her schedule.

The Duchess is a very stylish woman and always looks well attired and groomed. She looks great in all these outfits. I have much admiration for both the Duke and Duchess, they are loyal and devoted and do there duties perfectly.
ReplyDeleteToujours élégante et bien coiffée avec ses cheveux courts ; certaines dames devraient s'en inspirer !
