It’s nice to see all the family again. however, the only one looking lovely is Princess Sophia. The Queen’s outfit is nice. Madeline is okay. Victorias dress is too matronly.

      Sofia! Not Sophia

All ladies are looking very elegant. My only quibble is with Madeleine’s white shoes with black - but I guess they do brighten the outfit - and I would have loved to see some smaller more refined earrings eg pearls. I quite like there being a dress code and seeing the variations of black and white! - Grace

Every year at the opening ceremony of the Riksdag the royal ladies are wearing black and white outfits. A tradition in Sweden, but a bit boring because it is every year the same. Maybe it is also part of protocol and even if they would wear something else they can't because of the Swedish protocol. Princess Madeleine is looking much older lately.

It's a new tradition based on old. In 70' Silvia came in red. Princess Lillian always wore colour, and when Victoria started attending she also wore colour.

Paloma.

I think all of the women look good here - Q. Silvia has certainly chosen some wonderful pearl jewelry. I like CPV’s hair in a low bun with her bandeau style hat. My only quibble is P. Madeline’s over-large earrings. (V.M.)

Victoria and Silvia look superb. Not a fan of Sofia’s fascinator, but her dress is all right; I look forward to seeing her in some beautiful maternity styles. For me, Madeleine’s outfit is a rare miss, or maybe it’s just that her blouse refused to stay neatly tucked (something that has happened to all of us, alas). — Jane

All the ladies look beautiful in coordinating black & white.

Madeline has lost so much weight i could hardly recognise her!

Sofia is the winner. Silvia is nice from an 80 year old I must say. but the sisters are just boring and wow there is a lot of flat faces 😂🤣

Queen Silvia is clearly the winner here. Stunning white outfit piped with black. Only quibble is too much jewelry spoils a nice outfit. The broach could have been left off, if she was wearing a necklace. Pss Sofia and Madeline both look lovely. As mentioned above, CP Victoria's dress is too matronly . Doesn't hang well, one side looks longer than the other, but the belt probably pulled one side up more.

Queen Silvia is so elegant here--and outshines the 3 younger ladies. Sofia looks marvelous here--so well put together and she shines. Madeleine's got a good look but there are a few issues--1) No to the white shoes--they detract from her outfit; 2) her blouse needs to be firmly tucked in at the waist--its blousing out oddly at times; 3) we all know she owns or has access to beautiful real pearl earrings--she should have worn those as these costume earrings just don't match the elegant look she was going for. Overall it's pretty hard to make Madeleine look bad but this outfit is a serious B look from her. Victoria--this dress is a big no and is too big on her and her choice of hat/headband does not work here...at all.

  15. Queen Silvia is the epitome of style and elegance, love her outfit. The pearl accessories, are perfect for the occasion. The brooch, earrings and gorgeous pearl necklace, add the overall look up a notch.

Nice to see them. The Q is always in style and classy. Victoria's dress not as stylish as at any other time. Madeleine's outfit looks a bit heavy. I like Sofias dress and also her hairstyle. She is glowing pregnancy becomes her. css

So lovely to see Madeleine and Chris attending with the rest of the family this year. I've missed them. Madeleine looks very elegant although I would have choosen more slim fitting blouse/top underneath the jacket.
Sofia and Silvia have also choosen very lovely and nice outfits. Silvia is one very elegant lady and she is showing that age is just a number.
Not fan of Victoria's dress, nor the white headpiece.
