On September 19, Queen Máxima attended a seminar on sustainable construction and housing organized by Bouwgroep Dijkstra Draisma in Dokkum. Queen Máxima visited the first serially built CO2-negative home, 'Smûk,' during the event. Additionally, the Queen engaged in discussions with participants from the construction sector, government, and academia about the energy transition, material transition, and challenges and solutions for the new construction market.
NATAN Taffeta Dress
Ce très joli modèle de Natan déjà porté est trop ample pour la silhouette de Maxima !
ReplyDeleteI love this dress and I love the colour. I believe it is a re-wear and looks great now as then. I also like that Maxima kept the hat simple and neutral. The overall look is simple and not over done. Beautiful!

Perfect dress from Natan. Beautiful; colour, perfect style and , as you say, Anon 9 13, the hat and other accessories are spot on
DeleteLove this dress from Nathan ! My favourite colour and model
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima’s dress looks lovely on her and the blue color is great! However, her shoes are a bit of a distraction from the overall look.
ReplyDeleteMuch as I hate the hat and shoes, I think this is a very together outfit and she looks great. Its such a vibrant colour and is giving me happy summer vibes. Km
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color that suits Queen Maxima to a "t". Her choice of neutral accessories was well thought out too--they allow the dress to be the focus. I will say I have never considered taffeta as a daytime material so it's interesting to see it used here in a day dress.

I think it’s time to modernize and move on from the single glove. Always wearing one and carrying the other. ??
ReplyDeleteYou know, I rather miss the exuberant wacky hats she used to wear. Lately it's been some very plain and boring things on her head - not so much fun! K
ReplyDeleteI don't like the hat, earrings or shoes, but the dress looks fabulous. The skirt has plenty of swish, and the length is great. The color is sublime. I love the bodice, and sleeves. A very nice outfit.
ReplyDeletePerfect in any way. Always loved this dress. I think the court should ask people not to give flowers to the queen on working visits. Its so akward walking around and asking questions with a bouquet in your hands. I know it's protocol in the Netherlands with royal visits, but a little bit of modernisation would be welcome. Its different imv with official openings or jubilee etc.
ReplyDeleteIt is tradition in Belgium too. Queen Mathilde accepts the flowers with great joy usually from a flower girl or boy and in general the children are delighted to see the queen and hear what she has to say to them. Afterwards the queen passes the flowers to a lady in waiting or to someone else, because we never see her walking around the whole visit with a bouquet in her hands. Talking about modernisation, I think you could better start in the UK they need it more than the Netherlands (or Belgium).
DeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteBright and gay in the Maxima way.
The hat is not my favorite, but this is a cheerful, well put together outfit on Maxima.

ReplyDeleteGreat dress, but the overall look screams grandma ‘Max’ with that hat and awful shoes.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Also like the earrings.

I respectfully disagree with some of the commentors. I think the Natan dress looks like it's wearing the Queen - too overpowering with too much belt, heavy skirt material and overwhelming sleeve cuffs. I've seen the shoes quite a bit, a little quirky, but basically ok. This one is just not to my liking.
